A Wicked Dinner Party

Happy Halloween weekend! We celebrated Halloween with a WICKED dinner party for twelve. Cooking for twelve can be daunting - so we hosted a potluck party with a FRIGHTENING menu. Our guests were just as excited as us to create a SPOOKY dish, fit for ghosts, goblins and witches. We are very excited to share our Appalling Apps, Menacing Mains, Sinister Sweets and Creepy Cocktail with you. Bone Appetit!

Boo-tiful Cookies and Brownies!

Why serve your guests boring Halloween candy, when you can scare them BOO-TIFUL cookies and brownies! I love adding sugar cookies to my dessert menus as they can be both decorative and delicious. While you can save time by buying them from any bakery or through Etsy, I recommend making them yourself. I placed these sugar cookies on top of homemade brownies to create a FRIGHTFUL GRAVEYARD filled with coffins, tombstones and skeletons. Follow my tips and you will have no fear in making this BOO-TIFUL cemetery!

You Obviously Love Oreos!

I don't know about you, but I LOVED Oreos as a child. Last year, I came across an Oreo cheesecake recipe from Handle The Heat that elevated this childhood favorite of mine into a DECADENT adult treat. The combination of Oreo and cream cheese is PERFECT. I love the texture of the crushed Oreo bits with the creamy, sweet cream cheese. The surprise Oreo cookie on the bottom adds the perfect crunch too. Trust me, even you don't like Oreos or cheesecake, you will LOVE this recipe.

A Holy Communion!

Our good friends, Matt and Lisa, hosted a lovely celebration for their daughter, Sophie's First Communion. Sophie has a nut allergy so finding a nut-free bakery is a BIG challenge. Since Archana loves to bake, Lisa asked Archana to make the cake for the party. The cake was simple, beautiful and delicious!
