Eat, Drink and Get Stuffed!

Happy Thanksgiving weekend! We had a wonderful time eating, drinking and getting stuffed with our family and friends. Our sister, Shruthi, and brother-in-law, Brian, host Thanksgiving every year. This year, our party was so large that we had a second table and a 25 pound turkey! Special thanks to our friend, Ingrid, for sharing her photos capturing our lovely Thanksgiving.

Friendsgiving Feast

We had an amazing time at our first FRIENDSGIVING! If you've ever seen a Thanksgiving episode of Friends, then you already know everything about this holiday. Friendsgiving has become increasingly popular for those geographically distanced from their families, can't afford holiday travel or want to escape typical family drama. These gatherings may not be as conventional as a family dinner, but what they lack in tradition they make up for in originality, fun and YUMMY food.

Easy as Pumpkin and Pecan Pie!

With the holidays around the corner, we wanted to share our FAVORITE pumpkin and pecan pie recipes. This pumpkin pie bursts with flavor and its rich, smooth, thick filling on flaky homemade pie crust is to die for. The pecan pie combines a buttery pie crust with a sweet, dense and chewy filling with lots of YUMMY pecans. These pies are PERFECT on their own or with whipped cream and/or vanilla ice cream. Serve these DELICIOUS pies at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Festival Of Lights

This week we are celebrating Diwali. In case you didn't know, Diwali is the biggest and brightest Hindu holiday. It is also known as the Festival of Lights. This five-day celebration also marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year. Think of Rosh Hashanah but with equal parts Hanukkah's Festival of Lights and July 4th's fireworks! As part of our celebration, we made some Diwali inspired arts and crafts with our nephew, Dylan, and niece, Keira
