Eat, Drink and Be Spooky!

Happy Halloween! We celebrated this holiday with a SPOOKY, sophisticated soirĂ©e for twelve. We love the juxtaposition of silly costumes with a formal dinner party that is full of drama, modern elegance and fright! Our menu was spooky but flavorful with more TREATS than TRICKS. We are excited to share our horror d'oeuvres, menacing mains and sinfully delicious desserts with you. Bone Appetit!

Falling Into Fall

It is time to fall into Fall with APPLE picking, warm APPLE cider donuts and fresh pressed APPLE cider! Earlier this month, we visited Wright’s Farm in Gardiner, New York to get our fill of fresh APPLES and the beautiful Fall foliage. When you pluck the perfect apple straight from the tree yourself, it tastes even better! You also depart with a goody bag full of freshly picked apples that can be used to make sweet and savory bites from soups to crisps, and everything in between.

How Do You Like Them Apple Tarts?

Apple season is in full swing! We highly recommend enjoying the crisp Fall weather while picking fresh apples straight from the tree or at your local farmer's market. I LOVE apples and I LOVE cheese. They go together perfectly like peanut butter and jelly! For last week's Apples to Apples dinner, I baked an apple tart using my favorite pie crust with a savory twist. I'm excited to share the recipe with you!

Apples to Apples

Autumn is one of our favorite times of the year to entertain. It is the season, we can enjoy crisp air, changing leaves and fresh pumpkins, butternut squash, figs, apples and peaches. Our friend, Nishant, loves to host elaborate dinner parties. We provided some TWINSPIRATION for his most recent dinner party for 8. Since Fall has fallen, we suggested a 4 course tasting menu featuring a single Fall ingredient. We settled on APPLES since nothing says AUTUMN quite like an apple that is crisp, sweet, tart and juicy!

Lazy Sunday Waffles

I love cooking but when it comes down to it, brunch is my favorite meal of the day! You can go sweet, savory or a bit of both, all while enjoying a yummy cocktail before noon. Brunch becomes an extra special treat when you make LAZY SUNDAY WAFFLES. Crisp, moist and delicious waffles are the perfect way to start a Sunday. They are easy for little hands to assist too.
