Our niece, Keira, is currently obsessed with Disney PRINCESSES. For her 3rd birthday, she requested a Frozen themed birthday party, featuring her current favorite princesses, Anna and Elsa. We planned an enchanting Royal Ball, fit for our little princess. We are excited to share the details with you.
We invited princesses and knights near and far to a Royal Ball to celebrate the 3rd birthday of Princess Keira at our sister’s home. The animated film inspired the party’s turquoise, pearl and magenta color palette. We wanted the ball to be not only a magical formal affair but also appropriate for children. We rented children’s tables and sapphire chairs to create a Frozen themed banquet. We decorated the tables with sky blue tablecloths, snowflake decals and napkins and plates from Party Fair’s Frozen collection. We placed a Frozen themed banner above the birthday princess’ place setting. We love assigned seating for any formal dinner party. Kanchana created adorable place cards for the princesses and knights using a Frozen alphabet.
Guests were greeted with Anna and Elsa themed balloon bouquets, a Frozen inspired tassel garland and an adorable chalkboard sign featuring Olaf. The kids also loved dressing up as princesses and knights.
Princess Anna and Elsa from Perfect Princess Parties arrived shortly after the guests. Anna and Elsa kicked off the enchanting activities with a coronation ceremony, complete with face painting. Keira looked adorable with her pink snowflake. Some of the knights sported Olaf and Fire Breathing Dragons tattoos. Anna and Elsa started a dance party, which was then followed by a sing-along of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” and “Let it Go.” Princess Anna and Elsa read an abridged version of Frozen. The entertainment concluded with a mini lesson in royal etiquette. The princesses learned the proper way to curtsey while the knights learned how to bow.
We kept the food simple. Appetizers included Arendelle’s crudités platter with Olaf’s Hummus and Kristoff’s cheese and fruit platters.
The princesses and knights also feasted on Cheese Pizza with their Honest juice boxes at their Frozen banquet.
Our magical Frozen dessert bar was fitting for both princesses and knights. This year’s cupcake flavors were inspired by Anna and Elsa: Chocolate Oreo and Coconut. The mini cupcakes, much like the sugar cookies, resembled both Anna and Elsa’s gowns. We served deconstructed snowman with marshmallows, chocolate chip eyes and buttons, fruit roll-up noses and pretzel arms so guests could “Build a Snowman.” Chocolate Olaf Buttons, Elsa’s Powdered Snowballs, Hershey Kisses to “Melt a Frozen Heart” and Kristoff’s Chocolate Chip Cookies rounded out the desserts.
We love dessert tables with mini sweet treats and so did the children and adults. The birthday girl was very excited to blow out her birthday candle.
For favors, each princess departed with a tiara/wand set while the knights left with foam swords.
We had an amazing time celebrating our favorite little princess. We had a separate celebration for Keira on her actual birthday. She was very excited about turning 3!
