Our big boy, Dylan, started kindergarten this Fall. Our sister, Shruthi, hosted a chic social for the parents of his new classmates. She asked us for some Twinspiration to make the event more memorable. While there was no specific party theme, we incorporated the school’s colors in the decor. We are excited to share the details with you.
We lined the stairs with cylinder vases with crisp white pillar candles and illuminated the walkway with hurricanes filled with votive candles and navy gems.
The color palette featured the school’s colors, navy blue and hunter green. We selected navy linens for the bar and cocktail tables. We added pops of color with navy and hunter green chevron napkins. International Garden created our floral arrangements. We styled the bar and cocktail tables with chic floral arrangements (featuring white dendrobium orchids and blue gentiana in bud vases and hurricanes filled with white votive candles and green gems. We served a variety of rosé, red and white wine as well as a selection of specialty beers.

Tenderloin of Beef with Caramelized Onions
Lemon Grass Chicken Spring Rolls
Marconi and Cheese Diamonds with Truffle Oil
Watermelon Bites with Goat Cheese and Balsamic Reduction
For dessert, Archana repeated a hit from our Country Hoedown – the bourbon balls. These chocolate treats were rolled in cocoa powder, confectionary sugar, walnuts and/or dipped in chocolate and drizzled with blue and green chocolate. Laise from Truffilio created the beautiful blue and white truffle wrappers. These wrappers are available in a variety of colors and designs.
Archana also made mini vanilla cupcakes with chocolate chips and buttercream frosting.
Shruthi, thanks for letting us add some Twinspiration to this event. Can’t wait for the next one.
