Easy Mother’s Day Ideas: Mikasa Tableware

The company, currently a division of Lifetime Brands, Inc. manufactures casual and formal tableware, drinkware, flatware and home accents. Mikasa tableware features an assortment of patterns, shapes and materials from which to choose. This tableware is available on the Mikasa website as well as Bloomingdales, Macy’s, May Department Stores Company, Amazon and other retailers.

Easy Mother’s Day Ideas: How to Create a Beautiful Tablescape
I’m thankful for the mom-umental role you play in my life. We selected a purple, blue, white and yellow color palette for our chic Mother’s Day tablescape. We dressed the table with beautiful floral linens. We placed a stunning bouquet of yellow roses, mini white carnations, blue Thistle Eryngium, mini white spray daisies and baby’s breath inside a gorgeous blue Tiffany’s vase. We added white votives and tall white candles as additional table decor.

So excited to celebrate this mom-entous occasion. Each place setting featured a gold charger plate, the Mikasa Swirl White Coupe set, Mikasa Lilah gold flatware, Mikasa Cheers Wine Glass and Mikasa Cheers Old Fashioned Glasses. We also added floral napkins tucked inside a napkin ring.

Cheers to thousands of perfect mom-ents this Mother’s Day! We’ve been serving wine and cocktails in the Mikasa Cheers collection for years. These modern, whimsical glasses are perfect for a dinner party. Each glass features dots, lines, or swirls, which makes it easy to identify your glass. They are also dishwasher safe.

Easy Mother’s Day Ideas: The Food
You are a woman like no m-other! We celebrate Mother’s Day with a delicious home cooked meal. We started with a Blackberry Crostini with Basil, Honey and Lime Zest. The creaminess of the goat cheese was balanced by the sweetness of the blackberries and the citrus of lime zest.

Mom, thanks berry much for everything you do. Our second course was Blueberry Spinach Salad With Honey Balsamic Dressing. This is no ordinary salad. This salad is packed with fresh blueberries, dried cranberries, pecans, feta and a honey balsamic dressing.

Mom, we love ewe. Our third course was a Roasted Leg of Lamb with Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Pears and Pistachios. This lamb is easy to prepare and paired nicely with the roasted vegetables.

For dessert, we served a Mum-believable cake from Mother Mousse. We’ve been going to this bakery for all special events from our Sweet 16 and graduations to Dylan and Keira’s first birthdays to our parent’s 25th anniversary and more.

We asked the bakery to match our color palette so they added blue sprinkles and streamers to a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and whipped cream.

This cake is mom-umental. We served dessert on the Mikasa Swirl White Coupe plates. Best of all, this bakery delivers to NYC. You can send them any cake design and they can create an inspired version of it.

Easy Mother’s Day Ideas: The Wine
Wine + dinner = winner. It’s not a great Mother’s Day meal without the wine. We served Clos du Bourg Domaine Huet Vouvray. This Loire Chenin Blanc has notes of apricot, pear and apple with high acidity, medium body and a light buttery finish. This wine paired nicely with the creaminess of the blackberry crostini and freshness of the blueberry salad.

This year, celebrate the holidays with Mikasa. You can create your own beautiful tablescape with Mikasa tableware, drinkware and flatware. Try to recreate this tablescape for Father’s Day. You can also find additional Mother’s Day ideas here.
