Doesn’t the world look better through Rosé colored glasses? A beautiful sea of pink and white took over Randall’s Island at the 4th annual Pinknic Festival. We wore pink, sipped pink drinks and listened to fresh beats courtesy of Mark Ronson, Breakbot, Kasbo, Brasstracks and more. We are excited to Rosé the day away with you.
Pinknic launched in 2016. This year, the 2-day festival moved from Governor’s Island to Randall’s Island. Pinknic celebrates all things pink and white. The festival features gourmet cuisine, still and sparkling Rosé, live performances and pink and white installations.
We caught the ferry from 35th street. The ferry runs hourly, and takes approximately 30 minutes.
Friday’s festival started at 3:00PM. With 90 degree temperatures, we arrived closer to 6:00PM. Food and beverages aren’t allowed inside, but you can bring an empty water bottle and refill it at the water fountains. Food and beverage trucks were lined up to serve guests delicious bites and refreshing drinks.
We sipped on lots of Rosé in our souvenir Pinknic glasses.
DSLRs are not allowed at the festival, so we recommend spare battery chargers for your smartphones as there are lots of photo ops located throughout the festival.
We also recommend wearing comfy shoes or sandals that are waterproof. Although the sun was out, the grass was wet from the rain from earlier in the week. Also remember to pack sunblock.
Pinknic is certainly a fun & fabulous way to rosé the summer day away.
Friday’s line up on the main stage was headlined by Mark Ronson, but we also listened to beats by Breakbot, Kasbo, Brasstracks, Willy Monfret. The festival had two stages. The Kinder Circus stage featured Jordi Iven, C.M.A., Tunico, Ameme and Anna Boo.
We had a wonderful time at our first Pinknic. Saturday’s festival was unfortunately cancelled due to the NYC heat wave.
Check out the festival next summer so you can celebrate all things pink. General Admission tickets start at $95 and VIP tickets start at $250. You can also purchase a 2-day ticket.
