Everyone knows someone with a birthday on or near Christmas. Our sister, Shruthi, was born on the day before Christmas Eve. Birthdays this year are more intimate, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make them fabulous. We wanted to make Shruthi’s holiday birthday special with a scrumptious home cooked meal. Sometimes all you need is good food, wine, family and a little Twinspiration to sleigh that Christmas birthday party. We are excited to share the best Christmas Birthday party ideas at home with you.
How to Style a Christmas Birthday Tablescape
We wanted to make a fa-la-la fantastic tablescape. We dressed our table with a white faux fur table runner. Our gorgeous Christmas birthday centerpiece featured Pascal Agrapart Champagne, Flora Springs wines and Calvet Sauternes Reserve Du Ciron. We decorated the wines with festive Christmas wine toppers. The centerpiece also included two metallic Christmas trees, a pine garland and pine cones, berries, sugared pears, sugared apples and candles.

Each place setting included a white plate, ivory napkins tucked inside Nutcracker napkin rings.

What to Serve to Eat and Drink?
We toasted the birthday girl with the Pascal Agrapart Champagne. This bright and vibrant Blanc de Blancs has notes of citrus and white flowers.

This champagne was the perfect way to kick off this birthday dinner.

Our first course was a meze platter. Did you know that you can make a restaurant style meze platter at home? You can make the meze platter from scratch, or just grab the ingredients and then assemble them on a platter. To make this platter, you’ll need grapes leaves, hummus, tzatziki and lots of pita bread. Don’t forget to add some herbs as garnish.

Next we paired the meze platter with Flora Springs’ Soliloquy. This wine is a Sauvignon Blanc-based multi-layered blend of white varietals. Soliloquy has exotic flavors of passion fruit, lychee nut, lime and a floral bouquet of jasmine and orange flower. The Rudolph wine topper added the perfect amount of Christmas flair.

Our main course was a slow cooked lamb tajine with sliced almonds and couscous.

We paired the lamb tajine with Trilogy, a Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec. This wine has warm notes of black plum, black cherry, lovely acidity and sleek tannins. We also served Flora Springs at our Holiday Dinner and Dia de los Muertos dinner party. They have the most adorable collection of Halloween and Holiday wines with one of a kind wine labels.

What to Serve for Christmas Birthday Dessert?
For dessert, we served birthday cake from Windy Ridge Bakery. It was a vanilla cake with sprinkles inside. Shruthi, Dylan and Keira loved it.

Shruthi enjoyed her Christmas birthday celebration.

We paired the birthday cake with Calvet Sauternes Reserve Du Ciron.

The Christmas birthday girl loved the dinner. It wasn’t as glamorous as her 40th Masquerade Ball, but it was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday during Covid-19. Flora Springs is giving our followers 10% off by entering the promo code CHEERS3. Have your elf a merry little Christmas birthday party.

All I want for Christmas is for someone to remember my December birthday.
