A wedding rehearsal dinner provides an opportunity for family and friends to come together to support the Bride and Groom in a more personal and relaxed manner than the wedding itself. Our older sister and brother-in-law hosted the rehearsal dinner for his son Will and and his soon to be daughter-in-law Jenna at their beautiful home. The couple planned to honeymoon in St. Lucia and we thought a surprise beach/island themed dinner would be very fitting.
We incorporated the colors of carribean blue and kiwi green to set the beach tone. The beautiful centerpieces consisted of cylinders of varying heights with floating candles, colored water, colored pebbles and shells, and hurricanes with votives. We recommend using vases of different height to create depth and make the table more visually attractive.
Clare Lobello created a menu inspired by the island theme.
Appetizers: beachside figs and gorgonzola flatbread, paradise pesto and fontina flatbread, franks on the beach in blankets, crabs and avocado in corn cups and Caribbean cappers bites
Dinner: island beef sliders, tropical turkey sliders, summer salad, stuffed sea shells, grilled asparagus and truffle oil fries
Dessert: coconut drizzled fruit kebobs, high tide mini cupcakes and hurricane sorbet
“A simple life is good with me. I don’t need a whole lot. For me, a T-shirt, a pair of shorts, barefoot on a beach and I’m happy.” –– Yanni

I love the colors for the table setting. Blue and green are just perfect for that theme. I also like the idea of the floating candles. So nice and really romantic looking.
I love everything about this set up, it’s beautiful, romantic and the colors gives you the feeling of being in the beach even you are not.
I really love this set up. It’s so romantic and breathtaking.
I love this! I’m getting married in August at a castle by the beach so I’m always open to ideas for it!
Absolutely adorable! Love the blue for the beach theme!
This is so pretty! Thanks for sharing.
