Cinco de Mayo Party Ideas: Create a Vibrant Tablescape
Nacho average Cinco de Mayo celebration. Our Cinco de Mayo party ideas start with a vibrant tablescape. We wanted to create a festive atmosphere that would transport our guests to Mexico. We incorporated a bold, colorful palette of red, blue, yellow, orange, green and purple- basically all colors of the rainbow. We kept the table linens neutral so the rest of the tablescape would pop.

We layered on top of each other to create a bold and eye-catching look. We placed a colorful assortment of cloth napkins in a wooden on each plate. The contrasting colors of the plates and napkins added a pop of color to the beige table linens and brought the table to life. The wooden added a natural and rustic touch to the table,

To complete the tablescape, we added a beautiful blue hand blown to each place setting. The bright blue color of the glasses perfectly complemented the vibrant colors of the flowers and candles, tying everything together beautifully. The margarita glasses not only looked stunning on the table, and added an extra touch of elegance to our Cinco de Mayo party ideas.

We placed a beautiful bouquet of white anemone, crimson daisies, golden sunflowers and violet iris on the table. The flowers really set the tone for the atmosphere of the room. The white anemone petals were delicate and soft, while the crimson daisies and violet iris added pops of bold color. The golden sunflowers brought a touch of warmth to the space. To complement the beauty of the bouquet, we added two red votives on either side. The warm glow of the candles and the vibrant flowers created a stunning centerpiece that added an extra touch of elegance to the space.

Cinco de Mayo Party Ideas – Add Some Whimsy with a Taco Balloon
To really bring the Cinco de Mayo party ideas to life, we added some fun and festive decor to the coffee table. One of the standout pieces was Instaballoons giant taco balloon, which we placed near the table as a playful nod to the delicious Mexican cuisine that we would be enjoying throughout the night. The balloon was larger than life, featuring all the classic ingredients of a tasty taco. We also placed a yellow maraca and yellow and green chevron napkins.

Cinco de Mayo Party Ideas – Sip on Homemade Mango Margaritas
Drinko de Mayo – let the margaritas flow! Our Cinco de Mayo party ideas include putting a twist on traditional cocktails. We wanted a unique spin on the classic margarita. After some brainstorming, we decided to go with homemade mango margaritas. The addition of fresh mango gave the cocktail a sweet and fruity twist, while still maintaining the classic margarita elements. We mixed our margaritas with Patron’s Anejo Tequila. Tequila is a Mexican liquor that is produced from the Blue Agave plant.
Don’t tequila my vibe. There are 5 varieties of tequila:
Blanco: generally unaged, clear, pure blue agave
Gold: colorants and flavorings added, less expensive, used in mixed drinks
Reposado: aged in wood barrels for 2-11 months, golden hue, balanced flavor of agave and wood
Anejo: aged between 1-3 years, amber color, richer, smoother and more complex flavor
Extra Anejo: aged over 3 years, mahogany color, extremely smooth and complex

Cinco de Mayo Party Ideas – Prepare Guac in a Molcajete
You have guac to be kidding me. Our Cinco de Mayo party ideas include making guac in a , which adds an extra touch of authenticity. The best guacamole starts with fresh ingredients. Look for avocados that are ripe, but firm. Have fun with the recipe. Other than avocados, you’ll need tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, limes and salt. Pro-tip: squeeze fresh limes rather than pour from a bottle. Make enough for the chips as well as the other courses. You can’t have enough guac at Cinco de Mayo.

Cinco de Mayo Party Ideas – Make Mouthwatering Southwestern Quesadillas
Cheese the day. For the second course, we served southwestern quesadillas with cilantro lime sour cream on a beautiful . The quesadillas were a unique and flavorful twist on the classic cheese quesadilla. We then layered the corn, black bean and cheese filling between two flour tortillas and cooked them until they were crispy and golden brown.

Spice, spice baby. These spicy, flavorful quesadillas were a nice twist to traditional cheese quesadillas. We served them with guac, pineapple salsa and cilantro lime sour cream. The pineapple salsa is bright and colorful salsa and adds the perfect amount of sweetness, acidity, and freshness to the quesadillas. The juicy and tangy pineapple paired perfectly with the savory and spicy filling of the quesadillas, creating a delicious explosion of flavors in every bite.
The cilantro lime sour cream is a delicious and easy-to-make condiment that also pairs perfectly with the spicy and flavorful southwestern quesadillas. The cilantro added a bright and herbaceous flavor to the sour cream, while the lime juice added a tangy and acidic note that balanced out the richness of the sour cream.
Serve all the accompaniments in a tri-dipping bowl

Cinco de Mayo Party Ideas – Make Red Snapper Tacos
You had me at tacos. For the main course, we served red snapper tacos with chipotle mango salsa. These fresh and flavorful baked fish tacos were delicious with the sweet and spicy mango salsa. These tacos will take you to a tropical place. We seasoned fresh red snapper fillets with chili powder, cumin, and garlic, then grilled until flaky. We serve on warm corn tortillas with pineapple salsa. We used a to keep the tortillas warm. All of the condiments can be used for multi-courses.
