Let’s hear it for Womenpreneurs. This week, we highlight 5 female entrepreneurs to watch in 2021. There has never been a better time for women to turn their ideas and passions into profit. We are excited to introduce you to 5 female owned start-ups: ForeverFling, alternew, Chic on Paper, Ally Shoes and happyface.
Female Entrepreneurs
As entrepreneurs, we are excited to share the stories and businesses of fellow female entrepreneurs. Some of these founders have been friends for years, while others we have met through Twinspirational. Keep an eye out for these female entrepreneurs because can’t wait to see what they have in store for 2021.
1.) Ira Nabatalieva – ForeverFling
Ira Nabatalieva founded ForeverFling to curate exciting date night options for busy couples in New York and New Jersey. She was in a seven year relationship and had trouble coming up with new date night experiences. With the addition of kids and more demanding work schedules, date nights often move to the bottom of “to do lists.” Ira wants to solve this problem and create experiences that allow couples to invest in their relationships.

We attended a couples’ wine tasting event organized by ForeverFling. The event included a sommelier and delicious wine. It was a great way for couples to meet other couples. ForeverFling specializes in individual dates as well as couples nights. Give ForeverFling a try now and create some memorable date nights.

2.) Nancy Rhodes – alternew
Nancy Rhodes founded alternew to tackle the issues plaguing the fashion industry. Clothes are mass produced but bodies are not. alternew transforms mass-produced garments into bespoke pieces. With on-demand alterations and repairs, alternew turns tedious errands into convenient and affordable experiences. Nancy hopes to improve self esteem and inclusivity through fit and customization. By extending the life of existing garments, Nancy believes we can increase sustainability. Everyone deserves a luxury experience that doesn’t come at the cost to the planet or drain our bank accounts.

We had a few items in our closets that didn’t quite fit right. We had them altered with alternew specialists for a more tailored look. Isabel, alternew’s head seamstress, pinned the clothes, and made them look like new within a few days. Make your next alternations appointment with alternew.

3.) Nina Maric – Chic on Paper
Nina Maric is the artist behind Chic on Paper, a luxury illustration brand based in Canada. As a lover of all things glam, Nina finds inspiration in high fashion elegance to create whimsical art for the home decor industry and custom projects on a freelance basis. As a self-taught artist, she started Chic on Paper as a creative outlet that soon turned into a thriving business. Chic on Paper clients include Joico, Wella Company, and OPI, and many international influencers.

Nina designed all of our feminine highlights on Instagram.

Chic on Paper also created this stunning sketch of us. Check out Chic on Paper to order artwork for yourself or family and friends.

4.) Samantha Dong – Ally Shoes
Samantha Dong founded Ally Shoes to disrupt the footwear industry by designing heels that are scientifically engineered to alleviate pain. After a foot injury, Samantha could not find shoes that fit. She teamed up with designer Sara Jaramillo and podiatric expert, Dr. Roxann Clarke, to create stylish pumps for working women in a broad range of sizes and widths. Samantha made luxury footwear more accessible through its direct to consumer business model. In 2020, Ally Shoes expanded its collection to include flats, block heels and strap heels.

We highly recommend the black pumps in leather or suede for work and the glittery shoes for a night out. Use the code TWINS40 to save $40 off your first pair of Ally heels or TWINS10FLATS to save $10 off your first pair of flats.

5.) Stacey Malo – happyface
Stacey Malo started happyface to design chic masks that keep out bacteria, germs, allergens, pollution and smog. The reusable masks have nose wires to form a custom fit and use filters with patented Airveil nanofiber technology. The fabric is anti-bacterial, odor resisting, moisture wicking, breathable, fast-drying and sun-protectant UPF 50. The masks are available in 4 designs and can be laundered and reused.

We wear our happyface masks to stay safe and to stand out in a mask-wearing crowd. We received many compliments on our masks on the mountain. Use Twins15 to save 15% off your purchase of 2 or more masks.
