Nutrition coaches will help you with your specific individual goals, which could be to lose weight, improve your relationship with food and alcohol, optimize gut health, avoid unrealistic diets and more.
Nutrition Coaches – What is Selen’s Alka-Terranean Method?
Selen’s Alka-Terranean Method has revolutionized the way her clients approach their weight-loss goals by utilizing simple techniques that have proven to be incredibly effective. The Alka-Terranean method is a powerful combination of the Alkaline and Mediterranean diets, designed to help you on your weight loss journey. Eating the right foods at the right time of day coupled with exercising regularly can increase your chances of success and help you reach your goals. Selen recommends eating as many alkaline foods as possible to help the body stay in the alkaline state.
Acid-forming foods produce a pH lower than 7, whereas alkaline foods result in a pH level greater than 7. Foods with a pH around 7 are considered neutral. With that in mind, the Alka-Terranean Method recommends eating alkaline forming foods, such as fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes before 5PM. After 5PM, you’ll want to consume green, non-starchy vegetables and/or lean protein options along with your vegetables. You’ll want to limit neutral foods, such as starches and sugars. Acid forming foods include meat, dairy, fish, eggs, grains and alcohol. Since this method combines elements of the alkaline and Mediterranean diet, you can eat dairy, fish and meat in moderation.

The Alka-Terranean Method – How it Works?
Every morning, Selen recommends drinking lemon water with apple cider vinegar. It’s like the Lemonade Diet without the maple syrup plus apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar and lemon aid in digestion and weight loss as well as lower blood sugar levels.
Selen recommends a variety of healthy breakfast foods including overnight oats or quinoa bowls, chia pudding, eggs and avocado, avocado toast, green juices that are vegetable, not fruit based. Not all cheese are created equal. Selen recommends goat cheese, ricotta or cottage cheese. Parmesan cheese is acid producing so that’s a cheese to limit. For bread, Selen recommends sour dough loaded with healthy fats from avocado or protein from eggs.
For lunch, Selen recommends a protein with veggies and salad. Proteins can be fish, eggs, chicken, tofu, tempeh, turkey, cheese. If you are planning to consume starchy veggies (potatoes, butternut squash, carrots), then eat them with lunch.
For dinner, Selen also recommends a protein with veggies and salad. Limit red meat to twice a week. Soups are also a great option. Stick to green veggies for dinner and plan to eat before 7pm.

We lost around 5 pounds working with Selen and have maintained it. We definitely could have lost more, but we had a busy social calendar during our coaching session. I think I need a nutrition coach. I have been struggling so much with might weight loss and nothing seems to work long term. I might lose some weight for a couple of months and it just comes back.
