Earlier this week, I attended Kamiesha Garbadawala’s latest exhibition, The Awakening. My good friend, Noah Phillips organized the fabulous event, and I am excited to tell you about it.
Kamiesha is a Jamaican born abstract artist who studied at The Parsons School of Design. She worked in fashion and design before translating her artistic experience into painting. Through her collections Eden, Evolution, Divine Order and Wishful Thinking, Kamiesha showcases a myriad of technique. Her use of color, line, texture, pattern and composition is visually stunning. Just look at a few of her pieces below snapped by Jordan Kleinman.
I highly recommend seeing her next show. This event was filled with many New Yorkers that enjoyed walking around the space and seeing all of Kamiesha’s beautiful artwork.
Noah received his graduate certificate from the Sotheby’s Institute in Art Business and is currently an Account Specialist for Artnet. He secured a beautiful loft in the Meatpacking neighborhood of New York City. The space was perfect for this event.
All Beauty Drink, Design Within Reach and Hellisøy sponsored The Awakening. All Beauty Drink was founded by another good friend, Camille Varlet. This drink is made with 15 skin vitamins and nutrients and is available in three delicious flavors: Cucumber Aloe, Strawberry Açaí and Pomegranate Rose. Her drink paired nicely with Hellisøy vodka. Hellisøy was founded by my friend, Eric Amat, and is available in two flavors Habanero and Botanical. I highly recommend you try both products, and you can even have them together! I was sipping on Pomegranate Rose and Hellisøy Habanero cocktails throughout the evening.
What a fabulous event Kamiesha, Noah, Camille, Eric and Jordan! Thanks for organizing and I can’t wait for the next one.
XOXO,
Archana
