Halloween Dinner Ideas for Adults: How to Create a Beautiful Tablescape
Let’s have some skele-fun. Step one for Halloween dinner ideas for adults is the color palette. If you think Halloween is only black and orange, think again. We selected a vibrant burgundy and black color palette with pops of white and gold for our sophisticated Halloween dinner party. We dressed the table with beautiful burgundy linens, a black cheesecloth tablerunner, spiderwebs and black napkins.
If you’ve got it, haunt it. We placed a stunning bouquet of burgundy Cockscomb flowers and baby’s breath on the table. We added white votives and tall white candles as additional table decor.
Creepin’ it real. The centerpiece also included two gold lanterns, black candles in cauldron candleholders and white candles.
Witch upon a star. Each place setting featured a Gold Charger Plate, a Mikasa Swirl Black with Graphite Ombre Coupe dinner, plate, salad plate and soup bowl, Mikasa Delano Gunmetal flatware, a Mikasa Cheers Wine Glass and a Mikasa Cheers Old Fashioned Glass. We also tucked a Black Satin Napkin under the dinner plate. We have been drinking wine and cocktails in the Mikasa Cheers collection for years. These whimsical glasses features dots, lines, or swirls, which make it easy to identify your glass. Best of all, they are also dishwasher safe.
Halloween Dinner Ideas for Adults: The Food
Hope your Halloween is hex-tra special. Our Halloween dinner ideas for adults included a sophisticated and spooky burgundy menu with a delicious home cooked meal. We started with a vibrant and creamy Beet Soup, served in the Mikasa Swirl Black with Graphite Ombre Coupe Bowl. The hearty soup is topped with yogurt, parsley and black sesame seeds. If you want some heat, add some chopped jalapeño.
Bone to be wild. Our second course was Lamb Chops with Spaghetti Squash and Pomegranates, served in the Mikasa Swirl Black with Graphite Ombre Coupe Dinner Plate . This dish is quite delicious and easy to make. The marinade is simple but robust in flavor. We tossed the lamb chops in a mixture of garlic, olive oil, mustard, Herbes de Provence, salt and pepper. Then we refrigerated the chops for an hour. The Spaghetti Squash needs to be roasted for an hour. But trust us, this low carb recipe is well worth it the effort. It tastes like a meat and pasta dish, but without the added carbs.
Love at first bite. For dessert, we served a Blackberry Cobbler with vanilla ice cream on the Mikasa Swirl Black with Graphite Ombre Coupe Salad Plate. The tart blackberries are tossed in brown sugar, flour, oats, salt and melted butter and baked for 20 minutes. Then we topped the cobbler with vanilla ice cream. The tartness of the cobbler paired nicely with the creaminess of the ice cream.

Halloween is bigger than Christmas in America. I’ve experienced it in New York, Los Angeles and Washington D.C., and if you’re in the right neighbourhood, every house is decorated with spooky ghosts, spider webs, and jack-o-lanterns.
