Our niece, Keira, is currently obsessed with Disney princesses. She picked one of Disney’s newest princesses, Elena of Avalor, as the theme of her 4th birthday. This week, we transport you to Avalor for Princess Keira’s Elena themed birthday party at Diamond Gymnastics. Gymnastics studios are the perfect setting for winter birthdays. The staff handles everything from setup to entertainment to cleanup. Of course, we were able to make the party more magical with some Twinspiration.
Elena of Avalor is Disney’s first Latina princess. She is brave, confident and adventurous. Our fiesta embraced a vibrant color palette of red, pink, yellow and purple in honor of Princess Elena. We scattered Elena themed balloon bouquets on the buffet table and decorated the children’s dining area with Elena tablecloths, tableware and napkins.
Birthday parties at children’s gymnastics studios typically run 90 minutes with an hour for entertainment and 30 minutes for light bites and cupcakes. The birthday girl and her friends had exclusive access to this 7,000 square feet facility, which featured top of the line gymnastics training equipment. Keira and her friends started their afternoon of fun with some light stretching.
Next the festivities kicked off with the birthday girl swinging in the overhead swing.
Just look how much fun she had flying around.
The staff played a number of games, sang songs, and worked with children on the various gymnastics equipment. The kids loved climbing the cargo net, hopping through hula hoops, jumping on the trampoline and crawling or walking through the obstacle courses.
Keira felt so special crawling through the red, green, yellow and blue giant parachute.Â
Since our party started at 4:00, we served some light apps and lots of cupcakes. We served, strawberries, blueberries, veggies, chips and hummus. Archana made the Elena cupcakes and chocolate lollipops. We displayed the lollipops on a styrofoam cone.Â
Keira loved her Princess Elena cupcakes. Archana made them with red cupcake liners, red buttercream frosting, a 1M tip and a Princess Elena cupcake topper. The hardest and most time consuming part was cutting out the Elena’s. If you are short on time, buy them pre-cut or use a Cricut.
Each child left with a bag of goldfish, as well as Elena chocolate lollipop, pencil and puzzles.
Thanks to the fabulous staff at Diamond Gymnastics for a wonderful 4th birthday. We all had a blast.Â

We love Elena of Avalor! This looks like such a fun party. The cupcakes and decor are cute and it’s awesome they were able to have their own adventures.
I too love the Princess Elena cupcakes!! So adorable. I am sure your niece would enjoyed very much on her 4th birthday! What a great memory for her!
My niece loves Elena, she watches the cartoon all the time. Using the gymnastics studio is a great idea to let the kids get out all of their energy.
That looks like a wonderful birthday party for a four year old! My grandchildren love the overhead swing. A lot of love and or patience was put into some of those foods and decorations. I love that while there was sweets there was also healthy food options. With everything offered I’m sure they all had a grand time.
This looks like it was such a great party! My nieces love Elena of Avalor — such a great kids’ show!
The colors here are so vibrant, and the snacks look healthy and fantastic! These cupcakes are super cute.
This looks like a fantastic party for little ones. I love all the food ideas you came up with and the overhead swing looks like so much fun.
The huge bungie swing looks so fun. We are also fans of Elana of Avalor in this house.
You guys did a wonderful job on this party, it’s very cute! We have had birthday parties at our local gymnastics studio in the past and it is a fantastic option. The kids always have a blast and it’s fairly easy on the parents since the staff runs most of the party. Nice work!
This looks like such a fun party! I bet the kids love playing with that big parachute! Parachute day was my favorite day when I was in school.
What cute ideas. My little girls would love a Princess Elena party for sure…super adorable!
This looks like such a cute party! Tumbling is always so much fun, especially for little kiddies.
I love the whole gymnastics idea! My son does gymnastics class (for toddlers, it’s pretty ridiculous), but I would never think to make it a birthday party. Good call.
Love this. I think party decor like this will add fun for any kids. It’s so cute. Thank for sharing!
What a great idea to have a birthday party at a gymnastics studio! Gives the kids the chance to let loose and have fun!
This looks like a fun birthday party. My lil man is turning 7 in May and I haven’t decided what I am going to do for him yet. He usually just wants to do it at home, which is perfectly fine by me. 🙂 I love the Elena of Avalor theme. You did a great job planning it.
What a great party theme! We recently went to Disney Junior Dance party and Elena of Avalor was there. I know my little girl adores her and would love to have a party like this!
A gymnastics studio is a great idea for a party venue. My daughter has attended a few and had such a great time. Fun that you were able to personalize the space for her too.
Love gymnastics parties! We’ve hosted a few and they’re always such a hit with the kids. And I love those cupcakes!! They’re so cute!
