Event planning seems to run in the family. Our cousin, Nitesh and his wife Yogita, planned a spectacular What Will It Bee baby shower and Hot Air Balloon first birthday for their son, Rihaan. We were very excited when we were invited to Rihaan’s Jungle themed second birthday party.
We were greeted with an ice cream truck! It didn’t really go with the theme, but what kid doesn’t LOVE picking their favorite ice cream from an ice cream truck.
We have a HUGE family, so birthdays are a great way for us to see our cousins, aunts, uncles, the little munchkins and the rest of the family.
Nitesh and Yogita incorporated a color palette featuring various shades of green with hints of yellow and orange. Height and three dimensional elements are key to beautiful dessert tables. Yogita combined an adorable animal fabric with yellow and orange balloons and 3D trees to create the backdrop. The two-tiered cake was filled with chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and vanilla cake with berry sauce. The fondant cake toppers perfectly coordinated with the adorable backdrop.
