Weekend brunches are a CULTURAL INSTITUTION in New York. This week we wanted to tell you about BrunchCritic’s upcoming 3rd Signature Orange Brunch Gala on Sunday, March 6th. The dress code makes this event unique: you MUST wear at least a splash of ORANGE. The Gala will feature a scrumptious menu from seven of New York City’s top brunch spots plus an oyster bar. 100% of the profits will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Who wouldn’t want to spend a Sunday afternoon with unlimited cocktails, yummy brunch bites, a live band and 300 guests in orange tie all while donating to a excellent cause?
BrunchCritic, founded by Andrea Pappas, is your one stop resource for all things BRUNCH in NYC. Fellow brunchies can search the website for brunch recommendations based on neighborhood and various other criteria (i.e. boozy brunch, good for groups, kid-friendly, gluten-free, etc). One of BrunchCritic’s biggest events, the ORANGE Brunch Gala, is on March 6th. Andrea partners with the Michael J. Fox Foundation and some of the city’s best restaurants to raise money for Parkinson’s research. This is a cause that is personal to Andrea, whose father suffered from Parkinson’s. She hopes “future generations will know a world with excellent treatment options and one day a world without Parkinson’s.”

What To Wear?
Both BrunchCritic and Michael J. Fox Foundation have orange logos, so all attendees MUST wear ORANGE! You can arrive in head-to-toe citrus or just a splash of orange with a scarf, hat, purse, tie and/or shoes. Just look at how fabulously orange guests were at the last Gala!
BrunchCritic is also raffling a trip to Napa. You can purchase your raffle ticket here. If you haven’t gotten your Gala tickets yet, grab them before ticket prices go up. We hope to see you on the orange carpet! If you still need convincing, check out the video from the last Signature Orange Brunch Gala.
“If love were a color, it’d be orange. Not because that’s a romantic color, but because it’s the sweetest.” ― Jarod Kintz
