To craft or not to craft, wait… there really is no question. We teamed up with creative Cricut influencers to inspire you as we all stay home and stay safe. We made our “Time” sign using our Cricut Joy and then the Cricut team compiled all the photos for a beautiful collage. We have never felt closer than during this time apart. Keep on inspiring. Keep on creating. We are excited to share our process with you.
As we stay home to flatten the curve, we have been finding new ways to keep ourselves entertained. We have been crafting a lot with our Cricut Joy. It’s light, portable and let’s you quickly personalize projects at home. Cricut Joy also has an assortment of Smart Vinyl in extended cuts, up to 20′ of cut capability. Sensors measure the material and then the machine starts the cut.
We used a beautiful font in Cricut Design Space to make our Time sign. We added some whimsy by replacing the dot in the i with a clock.
Cricut Design Space works seamlessly from desktop to mobile.
Next we used the Cricut Joy Starter Tool Kit, which includes a Spatula, Weeder and Scraper to carefully weed the excess material from the mat.
After we were done weeding, we had our beautiful magenta letters on our mat.
Next we made the clock for the dot on the i.
We used transfer tape to layer the clock.
We used more transfer tape to assemble the Time letters and the clock.
If you are new to do-it-yourself crafts, then Cricut Joy is the perfect way to dip your toe into the DIY world. It’s great as a standalone crafting machine or as a companion to the Cricut Explore Air 2. Spend this time to keep on creating and keep on crafting.
In crafting there are no mistakes, just unique creations.Anonymous
