New year, same fast. We kicked off 2023 with our annual dry January and a ProLon fast review. For the best weight loss results, it’s equally important to limit gluten and processed sugar. This way, we can balance out all of the holiday excess at the end of last year. It’s so easy pack on the pounds, so we fasted with the ProLon Fast Mimicking Diet to kickstart some new healthy habits for 2023. We are excited to share this ProLon Fast review with you.
ProLon Fast Review: What is the ProLon Fast Mimicking Diet?
May the fast be with you. This is our third ProLon fast review, and we are excited to lose weight again with the ProLon Fast Mimicking Diet. We initially partnered with ProLon in the summer of 2020 and again at the beginning of 2021. The ProLon fast lasts five days. This fast is not easy by any means, but it helps us kick our cravings for alcohol, sugar and gluten. As an added benefit, we each lose about three to five pounds every time we fast.

Fasting mode on. This ProLon fast review will describe the benefits of a fast without giving up food entirely. That’s why ProLon is a “Fast Mimicking Diet.” ProLon arrives in 5 small boxes that include a mix of nut bars, soups, snacks, drinks and supplements. Everything you need for each day is in each ProLon box. You can reorder contents of each box, but you can’t swap days (i.e. don’t substitute an item from Day 2 with Day 3, etc). The company also recommends no intense activity during the fast. This is always hard for us as we like to workout daily. We replaced exercise with a light walk (we’ve done a light elliptical too).

ProLon Fast Review: What’s in the Box?
Not so fast. Like many of you, we’ve tried tried Atkins, low-carb and keto diets as well as intermittent fasting. What makes the The ProLon fast easy is that they’ve done all the planning for you. No grocery shopping, no cooking, no dishes, no meal prep and quite frankly no thinking about the meals for the week. The ProLon fast includes an 800-1100 calorie blend of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and nutrients. ProLon nourishes the body and promotes metabolic, cellular rejuvenation. The ProLon fast tricks the body into thinking it’s fasting, even though you are enjoying their dried soup blends, nut and cocoa bars, olives, kale crackers, supplements, herbal teas and the L drink plus a water bottle.

ProLon Fast Review Day 1: ProLon Fasting State
- This day has the most calories and is the easiest (consider it a transition day)
- The body enters a fasting & fat-burning state and begins cellular clean-up
- Breakfast includes an L-Bar, Tea and Algal Oil
- Lunch includes Tomato Soup, NR-1, Kale Crackers (these are so good- wish they were sold separately) and Olives (we were never an olive fan until ProLon, yes these are good too and we add them as a soup topping sometimes)
- Snack includes another L-Bar and Tea
- Dinner includes Minestrone and a Choco Crisp bar for dessert

ProLon Fast Review Day 2: Fat Burning State
- The body switches to a fat-burning state and begins cellular clean-up
- Less food than Day 1, and about the same for days 3-5 (Days 2-5 have either kale crackers or olives and Choco Crisp bar)
- L drink added – a liquid energy drink that is mixed with water and sipped throughout the day
- Lunch includes Mushroom Soup, NR-1 and Olives; added some hot sauce to the soup
- Dinner is Minestrone and Quinoa Soup and a Choco Crisp bar

ProLon Fast Review Day 3: Ketosis State
- The body usually reaches a fat burning state of ketosis and more cellular cleanup
- We drank lots of tea and sipped the L drink throughout the day
- This was the hardest day for us
- Soups are the same as day 1, but with less food (only one L-Bar vs 2 and no olives or Choco Crisp Bar)

Day 4: Cellular Rejuvenation State
- More cellular cleanup and fat-burning occurs
- Our bodies adjusted to the lower calorie meals, but we were definitely hungry
- Our favorite tea is the Hibiscus; you can also steep the tea and then mix it with the L-drink

Day 5: Renewal State
- We couldn’t wait to complete Day 5 and started thinking about our meals for Day 6
- This program encouraged us to maintain healthy habits while reintroducing some of our regular foods back into our diet
- We continued our no alcohol, sugar and gluten the rest of the month

How Much Does the ProLon Fast Mimicking Diet Cost?

I don’t care for fasting. This fasting program looks so much better.
I’ve honestly never heard of this before. I’m not the biggest fan of doing fasting though either.
Reading about Prolon for the first time and I’m intrigued!
This looks like a really nice fasting that I must try. I’ve actually never heard about this.
This looks like a great program. I agree that it’s also important to avoid gluten and refined sugar when trying to lose weight!
