We love celebrating the end of the year with a glamorous theme party! In the past, we hosted a black and white party, a masquerade ball and even a rave! This year, we hosted an intimate pink and gold dinner party before heading to David Shapiro’s New Year’s Eve Bash at The Playwright. We are excited to share the details with you.
We wanted our dinner party to be full of glitter and glam. We selected a chic pink and gold color palette with hints of black and white. We framed the buffet table with colorful paper tassel banners. We also picked up gold confetti balloons, champagne confetti, and cocktail napkins from Paper Source. Carlos from International Garden helped us create beautiful floral arrangements with hot pink daisies and white spider mums.
We kept the food SIMPLE with a spicy Thai food delivery. We added a few pink and gold NYE touches to our dessert. Archana typically cooks and bakes from scratch, but sometimes there just isn’t enough time. Archana used chocolate molds to make pink chocolate 2017 and placed it on a pre-made dessert. Our friend, Alex, brought some delicious Sufganiyah donuts from Bread’s Bakery to celebrate the last night of Hanukkah. Kanchana incorporated pink, gold and white food tents to add additional pops of color on the buffet table.
We decorated the bar with pink daises. Our specialty cocktail, the New Year’s Kiss, was also a big hit. Archana muddled raspberries and mint in a champagne flute and topped each flute with sparkling wine. We also sipped on champagne and pinot noir.
The dinner party was a great way to kick off our New Year’s Eve festivities.
After dinner, we went to The Playwright for a spectacular NYE celebration hosted by our friends, David and Susan Shapiro. Their company, DavidShapiro.net, is a social networking company that specializes in events and vacations for New York City professionals.
David and Susan, along with Kimberly, the General Manager at the Playwright, decorated the venue with the classical NYE colors of black and gold. They placed glittery gold backdrops throughout the venue to create perfect photo ops for guests. We also loved the NYE top hats, glasses and tiaras that were scattered around the room.
David and The Playwright served a variety of specialty cocktails throughout the evening.
Guests also had the opportunity to reserve seating at the Playwright. We loved our Twinspirational table!
There was also a large spread of mozzarella sticks, cheese fries, tator tots, chicken tenders, jalepeno poppers later in the evening, which was a great way to conclude a fabulous evening. Thanks to David and Susan for organizing a wonderful NYE celebration.
