St. Patrick’s Day Decorations: How to Create a Rainbow Backdrop
Somewhere over the rainbow. Of course our St. Patrick’s Day decorations included a rainbow balloon backdrop. The party planning hack here is Command Hooks or balloon dots. You can use them for your balloon backdrops and remove them after the party without damaging your walls. We used an air pump to fill these balloons. We also placed shamrock balloons on the sofa. Make sure to tape the bottom of the balloons too to hide any balloon tails. Trust us, it’s worth the extra effort for these St. Patrick’s Day decorations and makes the photos come out better.
St. Patrick’s Day Party: What Food to Serve?
Paddy it up. Incorporating fruit allowed us to get festive without over indulging on sweets. We made a rainbow fruit and cheese plater. We started with the strawberries, added orange slices, followed by Gouda triangle slice. Next we added green grapes, blueberries and blueberry goat cheese. Could healthy look any cuter? I think next time we would replace the blueberry goat cheese with purple grapes. Would make the last layer more purple and different than the blueberry layer.
It ain’t over til it’s clover. We also created a colorful St. Patrick’s Day charcuterie board. We used shamrock cookie cutters to cut the Brie. Next we added bread, crackers, green and purple grapes, rainbow macarons, rainbow cookies, peanut butter cups, strawberries and cashews.
St. Patrick’s Day Party: What Drinks to Serve?
Take a pitcher, it’ll last longer. We paired our charcuterie board with Seedlip mocktails. They were so delicious and easy to make.
Keep calm and leprechauns. We also had a special guest attend the party, Lucky the Leprechaun. The kids will love this 22″ seated Leprechaun balloon 29″ Shamrock balloon. They can be air-filled or helium filled. You can also deflate the leprechaun afterwards.
Let’s have a shamrockin’ good time tonight! Today, we hope you celebrate March 17th with our St. Patrick’s Day decorations. Make sure to make it your own, be creative, and embrace the luck of the Irish. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
