Pasta la vista baby. Adoro Lei is located in Hudson Square on Hudson and Spring Street. Entrepreneur Rick Froio, Creative Director Michael DiBugnara and Executive Chef Mario Gentile founded Adoro Lei in 2015. The founders wanted guests to share a good meal and adore each other, while the restaurant adores them back. Mario reinvents the Italian classics with an upscale twist.
The art adorning the walls of Adoro Lei is quite unique and was commissioned by artist, Dessie Jackson, to embody adoration, such as “kiss me”, “hug me” and “toast me.” Adoro Lei is open from 11:30AM to 10:00PM on Wednesday and Thursday, 11:30AM to 11:00PM on Friday and 5:00PM to 11:00PM on Saturday. Happy Hour is 3:00PM to 7:00PM from Wednesday to Friday and 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Saturdays. The restaurant is currently closed on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays (for Covid).
Best Group Dining in Hudson Square: What to Order to Drink?
Margaritas and Senioritas are the perfect combination. Mixologist and James Beard recipient Elayne Duff designed the impressive cocktail menu. We started with a round of cocktails, which included the signature Adoro Margarita, Blueberry Bramble, Blueberry Moscow Mule, Rubin’s Ruby and The Apple of My Spice. Archana’s favorite was the Adoro Margarita. This spicy Margarita is prepared with tequila infused with jalapeño, limes, campari and agave nectar. If you like spicy drinks, order the Adoro Margarita. Kanchana’s favorite was the Blueberry Bramble, which was made with gin, lemon juice, muddle blueberries and club soda. These cocktails paired nicely with our assorted appetizers.

Best Group Dining in Hudson Square: What to Order for Dinner?
Hustle for mussel. We started with the Truffle Rice Balls, Charcuterie Board, Mozzarella Caprese, Caesar Salad and Prosecco Mussels. Our favorite was the Truffle Rice Balls, which were a bite of heaven. Make sure to have a rice day and start with this dish. The mussels were also quite tasty and cooked in a Prosecco tomato broth and served with garlic bread. The mozzarella was rich and creamy and the salad rounded out our Italian meal.
Penne for your thoughts? Next up was the Penne a la Vodka. This pasta was rich and creamy and we savored every bite. It even had a touch of cream basil.
You can’t have an elevated pizza party without pizza! We ordered the White Mushroom Pizza and the Margarita Pizza. Both pizzas were delicious, but we had a slight preference for the White one. The pizza and crust were baked to perfection and paired nicely with our Pinot Noir.
Led-Zeppoli, the stairway to dessert heaven. We concluded our meal with fresh, warm Zeppoli. These fried Italian donuts are doused with powder sugar and served in a paper bag.

Some of the best Italian I’ve had in the city. The pizza, rice balls, and penne were 🤤 and all of the food and service were excellent without being pretentious (kinda common with good Italian in this part of the city).
