What to Order to Drink at Ophelia?
I have mixed drinks about feelings. We enjoyed the gorgeous views at Ophelia with a round of cocktails including: Resurrection, The Flapper and Ophelia’s Ascension. These cocktails were gorgeous. Seriously, we’ll take a pitcher because it will last longer. Kanchana’s favorite was the Resurrection and Archana’s favorite was The Flapper. Ophelia’s Ascension was quite strong, so if you like your drinks stiff, this one is for you. Whiskey me away. This round of drinks was the perfect way to start our happy hour at one of the best rooftop bars in Manhattan.
Let’s drink about it. Our second round of cocktails were A la Española, Pain Killa and the Far East Side. The A la Española had smoke botanicals and spectacular presentation. Kanchana’s favorite was the Pain Killa, which was also smokey with Mezcal and Tequila and Archana’s favorite was the Far East Side, which has Shochu and Gin. The cocktails here are really spectacular with some serious mixology techniques. These are not drinks you can make at home. So head over to one of the best rooftops in New York for a one of a kind cocktail experience.
What to Order for Dinner at Ophelia?
The dishes at Ophelia are fantastic. You can enjoy elevated small bites or tapas style appetizers at one of the best rooftops in Midtown NYC. We started with the French Onion Sliders, Hamachi Crudo and the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. Our favorite was the Shrimp Cocktail- it was shrimply the best at the best rooftop in NYC.
Next up were the Deviled Eggs topped with Caviar, Edible Flowers, Herbs or Saffron. The presentation on these eggs was eggcellent. The garnishes were beautiful and gave each Deviled Egg a unique twist. We also dined on the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. The dip was rich and creamy and paired nicely with the crisps.
Hummus is where the heart is. The Hummus was topped with pine nuts and paired with a delicious freshly made Naan.
The Mushroom Truffle Ravioli was one of our favorites of the night. This creamy pasta with truffles was divine. There was so mushroom in our stomachs for this dish. You have to order this dish with your cocktails at one of the best rooftops in Midtown NYC.
We finished up our meal with a rich, decadent Chocolate Cake. A little bit of sweetness goes a long way at the best rooftops in Midtown NYC.
