Sunshine is the best medicine. After a winter on the slopes of Deer Valley, we were excited to be back at home in NYC. We celebrated our Covid-19 vaccinations with a beautiful spring dinner party with a few friends. We created a spring Italian themed menu and paired the foods with Jordan Wines. Put a little spring in your step this year, sip some Jordan wines and host an outdoor spring dinner party. We are excited to share our spring dinner party ideas with you.
Who is Jordan Winery?
Jordan Winery was founded in Sonoma in 1972 by Tom and Sally Jordan. This family-own vineyard focuses on Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. We featured Jordan wines a few times on the blog, Friendsgiving, Carrot Single Ingredient Dinner Party and Memorial Day BBQ. These wines are perfect for a spring dinner party and springing into spring.
How to Create a Spring Dinner Party Tablescape?
Bloom, baby, bloom. Our spring dinner party featured a blue and white color palette. We created our beautiful tablescape with .

Spring is the perfect time to turn over a new leaf. Each place setting featured a blue melamine dinner and salad plate from Q Squared. We tucked floral napkins in between the plates. We also placed red and white wine beside each plate.

This season puts a little spring in my step. The table centerpiece featured the Jordan Wines. We also placed two blue hydrangea floral arrangements beside the red and white wines. We served the 2018 Jordan Chardonnay and the 2016 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon.

What to Serve at a Spring Dinner Party?

Bon appecheese. A spring dinner party is all about easy spring dinner party recipes. We started our spring dinner party with the best homemade Air-Fried Arancini Balls with Marinara Sauce. We made these risotto balls for our Soave Wine Country dinner party a few years ago. If you have leftover risotto, this is the recipe is for you. If you are making the risotto from scratch, make sure you have enough time to cool and refrigerate the risotto and the Arancini Balls. This recipe is simple, cheesy and delicious. They are healthier too because they are cooked in the air-fryer.
We paired this course with the 2018 Jordan Chardonnay. This crisp, vibrant white wine has aromas of honeysuckle, lemon blossom and Fuji apple.

The wine acidity and oak nuances complemented the creaminess of the Arancini balls without overpowering them.

We sipped some of the Jordan Chardonnay while waiting for guests.

Explore the pasta-bilities. Our second course was a pesto pasta with shaved parmesan. You can make the pesto from scratch or if you are short on time, grab some pesto from Whole Foods. We’ve done both in the past. We continued to sip the Chardonnay with the pasta course.

Our main was Herbed Roasted Lamb with Potatoes and a Salad. Our friend, Beth is a culinary genius and prepared this course. The lamb was moist and flavorful and served with delicious roasted potatoes.

The salad had spinach, zucchini, dried cranberries, walnuts and homemade dressing.

Cabenet and slay the day away. We served the Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon with this course.

The Cab paired nicely with the lamb dish since the intense fruit flavor and firm tannin structure of the wine complemented the richness of the lamb.

It’s finally time for you to come out of hibernation if you haven’t already. Host your own spring dinner party with a few friends. Make it even better with lots of Jordan wines and our spring dinner party menu. Spring is a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be. Remember to stay safe while entertaining with a spring dinner party.

Despite the forecast, live like it’s spring.
