Irish I may, Irish I might. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. You are in for a treat. We put together the best St. Patrick’s Day party ideas for 2022. On March 17th, everyone is a little bit Irish. From the decorations to the drinks, it’s the greenest day of the year. Grab some green and gold and let’s get to the best St. Patrick’s Day party ideas.
Best St. Patrick’s Day Party Ideas: Color Palette
Luck of the Irish. We hosted a small St. Paddy’s Day party at home. The color palette is the same every year: Kelly green, sparkly gold and pure white. Make sure to include lots of shamrocks, some gold coins and a St. Paddy’s Day sign.
Best St. Patrick’s Day Party Ideas: How to Style a Tablescape?
Luckier than a four-leaf clover. We recommend bringing the Emerald Isle culture home with a gorgeous St. Patrick’s Day tablescape. We set the table with a , a Kelly green table runner and Kelly Green napkins. We also scattered gold coins, shamrock confetti as well as green and gold beads on the table.
Pot of gold! The centerpiece was a metallic gold Kiss Me sign and two white rose and daisy and green ball flower bouquets. We usually go to a florist for our floral arrangements. Our trick is to bring vases and give them our budget. If you don’t have a florist or are short on time, then go to Whole Foods and check out their flower shop. We also recommend small, low vases for dinner parties. This way, everyone can see each other when seated. When we decorate with large, high vases, the flowers are beautiful but we often move them off the table once we are seated.
Who says it’s not easy being green? Each place setting featured a gold charger plate, yellow dinner and dessert plates, Kelly Green napkins tucked inside a napkin ring.
Best St. Patrick’s Day Party Ideas: How to Create a Backdrop
The paddy don’t start till I walk in. We created an easy St. Paddy’s Day backdrop with a dozen shamrock balloons. The party planning hack here is Command Hooks or balloon dots. You can use them for your balloon backdrops and remove them after the party without damaging your walls.
We used an air pump to fill these balloons. Make sure to tape the bottom of the shamrocks too to hide any balloon tails. We also placed green, gold and confetti balloons on the sofa and floor. Trust us, it makes the photos come out better and you are here for the best St. Patrick’s Day party ideas.
Best St. Patrick’s Day Party Ideas: What Food to Serve?
It ain’t over till it’s clover. We created a gorgeous St. Patrick’s Day charcuterie board. We used shamrock cookie cutters to cut the Brie. Next we added shamrock cupcake toppers to the mini cupcakes. We often bake cupcakes from scratch, but this time we bought cupcakes from Fairway and just decorated them.
Who says it’s not easy being green? Next we added cheddar, crackers, dried apricots, kiwis, green apple, green grapes, green bell peppers, nuts, cupcakes, shamrock sugar cookies and cookies with chocolate and green/white sprinkles. Don’t forget the Irish for the Day cocktail napkins.
Best St. Patrick’s Day Party Ideas: What Drinks to Serve?
Life of the paddy. We pair our charcuterie board with a gorgeous Midori mimosas. It’s the perfect St. Patrick’s Day cocktail. Just look at this stunning shade of green.
The leprechauns made me do it. We also had a special guest attend the party, Lucky the Leprechaun. The kids will love this 22″ seated Leprechaun balloon 29″ Shamrock balloon. They can be air-filled or helium filled.
Don’t worry, beer happy. Today, we hope you celebrate March 17th with the best St. Patrick’s Day party ideas. Drink happy thoughts (and eat them too). Irish you a happy St. Patrick’s Day in 2022.
The amount of good luck coming your way depends on your willingness to act.
