The Best Thai Food on the Upper East Side: Bua Thai Ramen
Thai will always love you. We recently unlocked the vibrant tastes of Thailand at Bua Thai Ramen. This culinary gem is tucked away in the heart of the Upper East Side on 83rd and Second Ave. Beyond the bustling streets, this hidden haven serves as a passport to a Thai-tastic adventure.
Stepping inside feels like crossing into a secret garden. As we walked inside, we were enchanted by the display of gorgeous pink and purple flowers. Stop and take a few individual and group shot with this stunning background.
Bua Thai Ramen: Enjoy a Tropical Cocktail Wonderland
Sip happens. The cocktails at Bua Thai Ramen are nothing short of alchemical magic. Each sip is a flavorful exploration. From the zesty Thai-infused concoctions to the visually stunning presentations, the cocktail menu is a vibrant extension of Bua Thai’s culinary artistry.
Let’s get lychee with it. The libations at Bua Thai Ramen are more than just drinks. They’re a toast to the spirited essence of Thailand, served with a side of whimsy. The Lycheetini was delicious, but the real showstopper? The Melonberry Satho served in a watermelon – pure genius! You can get the Melonberry (and many of the drinks) as a mocktail too.
Moijiot. Mo fun. We also ordered the Margarita and the Mojito. Sometimes the cocktails have spirit bottles that you have to pour. Remember to do that right away, because otherwise half your drink will be a mocktail and then the rest will be really strong. Cheers to sipping euphoria at Bua Thai Ramen!
Bua Thai Ramen: Kickstart Dinner with Flavorful Thai Appetizers Family Style
Hopeless ramen-tic. Our meal kicked off with a dazzling array of starters at Bua Thai Ramen. The Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna brought a crispy crunch that harmonized with the bold spices. The Rock Shrimp Lychee was a perfect balance of sweetness and zest. The Ceviche was a refreshing symphony of citrus-kissed seafood, while the Tuna Tartar showcased the freshness of premium tuna in every bite. As if that wasn’t enough, we also ordered the Robata Grilled Chicken Bun. Just look at how gorgeous this presentation is! We highly recommend going family style so that you can try a little bit of everything.
Bua Thai Ramen: Savor a Taste of Thai in Every Bite
You gotta Thai and try. The Panang Curry brings the savory heat, a Thai delight that’s simply irresistible. Pad See-Ew, a stir-fried noodle sensation, hits the perfect flavor and texture notes, making it a crowd-pleaser. Then, there’s the Ba Mee Gyo, totally irresistible and adding its unique charm to the party. Bua Thai Ramen doesn’t just serve dishes; it throws a Thai flavor fiesta on your plate, where every bite is a burst of fun and deliciousness! Our favorite main was the Panang Curry with chicken.
Bua Thai Ramen: End with a Bite of Sweetness
That’s taro-fic. No meal is complete without a bite of sweetness, and Bua Thai Ramen did not disappoint. The Taro Crusted Brulee and Chilled Lychee in Butterfly Pea Syrup provided a delightful contrast to the savory richness of the ramen, leaving our palates thoroughly satisfied.
Our visit to Bua Thai Ramen was a testament to the fact that when it comes to Thai food in NY, Bua Thai takes the crown. From the inviting ambiance to the diverse and flavorful menu, this spot is a haven for Thai food lovers. If you find yourself on the Upper East Side with a hankering for a bowl of curry that transcends the ordinary, make your way to Bua Thai Ramen. You can find more NYC restaurants recommendations here.
