You are what you eat, so eat something sweet. The kids are spending a lot more time at home. With a little bit of Twinspiration, you can make Valentine’s Day in 2021 and the holidays at home special and fun. We partnered with Instaballoons to show you how easy it is to DIY Valentine’s Day at home. The kids are going to love this heartfelt Valentine’s Day setup. We are excited to share easy ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day in 2021.
How to Celebrate Valentine’s Day in 2021?
Three dimensional backdrops are an easy way to transform a space and celebrate Valentine’s Day in style in 2021. Also kids love whimsical backdrops. This backdrop also doubles as photo booth. We selected a red, pink and silver color palette. We used a mix of red, pink, hot pink, rose gold and silver heart balloons and a silver love balloon to create our Valentine’s Day backdrop. Keira helped blow up the balloons and hang them on the wall. We recommend using a balloon pump and command hooks.
Instaballoons has a large selection of heart shaped balloons, so you can get creative with your color palette for Valentine’s Day in 2021. We used painter’s tape to hang up the balloons, but we don’t recommend that. The balloons kept falling during the middle of our photoshoot. Instead use Command Hooks. One hook per balloon. Tape ribbon to the balloon and then slide the balloon over the hook. You can use them for your balloon backdrop and remove them after the party without damaging your walls. Also, instead of 12 balloons, go with 18 to make the backdrop wider. We had too many balloon technical difficulties to make ours wider. The Command Hooks will also help you better align the balloons vs. eyeballing placement. You can use the code twinspirational to save 10% off your order at Instaballoons.
How to Style a Valentine’s Day Tablescape in 2021?
We dressed the table with a silver pintuck tablecloth and a red accordion table runner from CV Linens. The linens complimented our heart backdrop and it was perfect for Valentine’s Day in 2021. You can use the code TWINS to save 10% at CV Linens (excluding polyester chair covers).
Keira helped us set the table. Each place setting featured a silver charger, white plate, red heart shaped dessert plate and bubblegum pink napkins. Keira added Valentine’s Day Rubik’s Cubes as party favors. Kids will love this setup for Valentine’s Day in 2021.
Flowers are a must for Valentine’s Day in 2021. We usually visit our florist in New York City. Since we are in Deer Valley, we grabbed pink flowers from The Market. This perfectly pink bouquet had baby pink lilies, fuchsia mums, red berries and maroon leaves.
I want candy! We made a candy charcuterie board for Valentine’s Day in 2021. We used a heart shaped platter, and added:
- Brach’s Cherry Hearts
- Lily’s Dark Chocolate
- Sour Patch Hearts
- Ghirardelli Hearts
- Homemade heart sugar cookies with Wilton sprinkles (we originally bought the sprinkles for our Mardi Gras King Cake)
- M&M’s mini tubes
- Stuffed Puff Marshmallows
We made the easiest pink cocktail for Valentine’s Day in 2021. The key to a great cocktail is the ingredients. Make sure to use high quality alcohol, mixers and fresh juices. Don’t forget to add a garnish.
We mixed Chopin with Q Mixers and fresh lime juice. We served the cocktail on the rocks with a lime wedge as a garnish.
Our cocktail was delicious. It was pink, citrusy and perfect for Valentine’s Day in 2021. No shaker or simple syrup is required. You just quality ingredients.
