Hey gourd-ous, it’s time to say goodbye summer and hello fall. We partnered with CV Linens, Domaine Carneros, Instaballoons and Le French Dad to create a gorgeous burgundy and blush dinner. With our tips, you can host your own beautiful fall party.
How to Host a Beautiful Fall Party?
Start by selecting a color palette. Fall parties typically include burnt orange, deep browns and golden yellows. This year, we picked a burgundy and blush theme. We also created a menu featuring various purple and burgundy colored fruits and vegetables.
Guests were asked to wear shades of purple or burgundy.
How to Style a Beautiful Fall Party Tablescape?
Our chic fall tablescape featured shades of burgundy, blush, gold, rose gold and pearly white. We framed the table with a colorful balloon garland and and hello fall gold letter balloons. We dressed the table with a burgundy satin rosette tablecloth, blush pintuck table runner and blush napkins from CV Linens. With this setup, you can host your own beautiful fall party tablescape. Best of all, you can use the code TWINS10 to save 10% at CV Linens (excluding polyester chair covers).
Each place setting included a rose gold charger plate, an ivory plate, rose gold tableware napkin tucked inside a napkin ring, rose gold silverware, a wine glass and a champagne flute.
Our vibrant floral arrangements included white and pink roses, white alstroemeria, burgundy and white carnations as well as other purple flowers.
What Wine to Serve?
We partnered with Domaine Carneros to feature a mix of their sparkling and still wines. Domaine Carneros was founded by the Taittinger family in 1987 in Carneros, Napa Valley. We originally visited the Domaine Carneros château in 2008 and Kanchana visted the vineyard again this year. Domaine Carneros is known for its sparkling wine made in the méthode traditionelle. However, the winery also has a variety of still wines.
First Course: Ultra Brut with Beet and Burrata Crostini
We started our wine pairing dinner with the 2015 Ultra Brut and a Beet and Burrata Crostini. This sparkling wine is made from a mix of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It has notes of roasted almond, golden apple and crisp pear.
This wine’s bright, crisp fruit and dusty minerality balanced the rich, buttery flavor of the burrata and the earthy flavor of the beets.
Let’s get fizzical. This sparkling wine was the perfect way to kick off our hello fall dinner..
Second Course: Palmer Chardonnay with Fig and Goat Cheese Salad
Next we sampled the 2018 Palmer Chardonnay with a refreshing Fig and Goat Cheese Salad. This Chardonnay has elements of citrus, delicate fragrances of honeysuckle and jasmine and notes of grilled pineapple and baked apple.
This wine balanced the sweetness of the juicy, fresh figs and the creamy goat cheese.
Third Course: Estate Pinot Noir with Leg of Lamb
Our next course paired the 2017 Estate Pinot Noir with a Leg of Lamb, Purple Potatoes and Pomegranate Gastrique. This Pinot packs a punch of dark berry flavors and cherry notes with a silky and warm finish.
The acidity and berry notes in this Pinot Noir balance the richness of the lamb and the nutty texture of the purple potatoes.
Fourth Course: Vermeil Demi-Sec with Blackberry Cheesecake and Purple Macarons
Our final course paired the 2016 Vermeil Demi-Sec with Blackberry Cheesecake and macarons from Le French Dad. This semi sweet sparkling wine has aromas of apple, honey suckle, lemon zest, and toasted almonds. This sparkling wine pairs nicely with fruit desserts and pastries. It enhanced the flavor of the blackberry cheesecake.
We sampled lavender, black current, rose lychee and salted caramel macarons from Le French Dad. They were all delicious. We displayed the macarons on an antique rose gold cake plate from CV Linens. We also partnered with Le French Dad on a backyard picnic earlier this month. If you are ever in Montclair, stop by Le French Dad for some spectacular macarons and/or other French treats.
These desserts with the Demi-Sec were the perfect way to conclude our meal.
How to Create an Beautiful Fall Party Photobooth?
Our tablescape doubled as a beautiful fall party photobooth. We recommend snapping most of your photos before the sunsets.
Guests loved taking pictures with the photobooth.
You really autumn know… This fall, host beautiful fall party with close friends or family. Set the table with CV Linens, decorate with Instaballoons, sip on Domaine Carneros and eat purple foods and macarons from Le French dad.
And all at once summer collapsed into fall.
