As we stepped into tasting room, we were greeted by friendly staff who guided us through a delightful wine tasting flight, introducing us to the diverse range of varietals Bedell has to offer. Love the wine you’re with. Pouring a glass of pure bliss at Kontokosta, where wine tasting harmonizes with awe-inspiring vistas in the North Fork. We indulged in their meticulously crafted wines amidst the breathtaking backdrop of gorgeous vineyards. Upon entering, we were welcomed by a charming tasting room adorned with rustic elegance. It’s the views that truly steal the show. We step outside onto the expansive terrace. Rolling hills dressed in vibrant green, intertwined with neat rows of vines, stretch as far as the eye can see.

Another glass? Wine not?! We shared a white flight and a red flight, savoring the best of both worlds. The white flight charmed us with its crispness and vibrant fruit profiles, while red flight delighted our palates with its rich, velvety textures and layers of flavors.. Each pour was a delightful exploration of the winery’s artistry and dedication to excellence. Savoring a glass of Kontokosta wine is a moment of pure indulgence during our trip through North Fork wineries.

Love at first sip! The last day of our escapade through North Fork wineries led us to the enchanting Italian style Raphael Wine. From the moment their velvety wines touched our lips, we were transported to a realm of unparalleled flavors and mesmerizing aromas. The winery’s serene and picturesque setting provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable tasting experience. This winery is a gorgeous Italian monastery themed venue.

Wine a little, laugh a lot. At Raphael, we indulged in a delightful array of wines in the Cellar, each a masterpiece crafted by their talented team. From the crisp Sauvignon Blanc to the refreshing Rosé, the elegant Riesling to the velvety Cabernet Franc, every sip unveiled a new dimension of taste and pure enjoyment. Our personal favorite was the captivating Cab Franc, with its bold character and lingering allure.

Read between the wines. The experience didn’t end with the wines alone. We were delighted to also indulge in a mouthwatering brunch, carefully prepared to complement the wines we were savoring. The flavors danced on our palates as we savored a delicious quiche, bursting with savory goodness. The berry tart provided a delightful burst of sweetness, perfectly balanced with the bright acidity of the wines. And to top it all off, the biscotti added a touch of crunch and a hint of indulgence. It isn’t good to keep things bottled up. We also visited the Cellar Room, a hidden gem within the winery. As we descended into this wine lover’s paradise, we were surrounded by rows upon rows of aging barrels and the intoxicating scent of oak. It was a captivating experience to witness where the magic happened, where the wines matured and developed their complexity. We felt like VIPs, getting a glimpse into the heart and soul of Jamesport.

Let’s chill and unwine. With our glasses raised high in a final toast, we bid farewell to Jamesport, carrying with us memories of laughter, delectable pizzas, and wines that made our taste buds sing. It was the grand finale we had hoped for, the perfect crescendo to our extravaganza of North Fork wineries. As we boarded the train back to the city, we couldn’t help but reflect on the unforgettable wine adventure we just experienced.

As soon as we got off the train to Greenport, we stoped by Port Waterfront Bar and Grill for a late lunch. We indulged in mouthwatering lobster rolls and flavorful fish tacos, perfectly paired with sips of refreshing Rosé. With picturesque waterfront views adding to the ambiance, this culinary experience was a seafood lover’s dream come true. It was just the beginning of our North Fork journey, promising a feast of flavors and unforgettable dining experiences ahead.
Oh shucks. We headed to the Frisky Oyster for our first dinner in the North Fork. Prepare for a flavor explosion as you indulge in their inventive dishes, combining local ingredients with culinary sorcery. From the first bite to the last, you’ll be transported to foodie heaven. We shared the oysters, salad, tuna tartar, duck, scallops and pasta. It was delicious.

Tunaverse. For our second and final dinner, we found ourselves at Waypoint, a waterfront gem offering both breathtaking views and delectable cuisine. We kicked off the evening with a zucchini chips, lamb chops and seared tuna. For the mains, we shared the Branzino, Tuscan seafood pasta and lobster ravioli. Both pastas and the fish were perfectly cooked, and each bite was a harmonious blend of fresh seafood and savory aromas. To conclude our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in a deconstructed cannoli that was nothing short of a masterpiece. With its impeccable service, stunning waterfront view, and a scrumptious menu, Waypoint exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect finale to our North Fork weekend trip.
Sip me baby one more time. After savoring delightful dining experiences, we sought a change of pace and found ourselves drawn to the intimate and cozy ambiance of Brix and Rye.
