You don’t need a Golden Ticket to make all your Candy dreams come true at Candytopia! We explored this delightfully sweet pop-up before they officially opened their doors to the public. We walked through a dozen curated rooms and tasted a variety of scrumptious candies and chocolates. This pop-up is reimagined as a Charlie and the Candy Factory experience for children and adults. Each room was magical, unique and filled with Instagram-worthy photo ops. We are excited to transport you to New York’s Candytopia, where a one of a kind sugar rush awaits.
Candytopia is conveniently located in Penn Plaza on 32nd Street. This utopia of confectionary bliss was created by Hollywood Candy Stylist, Jackie Sorkin and Master Fabricator, Zac Hartog. This limited three-month sugary spectacle features several unique interactive art installations. It’s perfect for the candy aficionado, who always dreamed about walking through Candyland. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a ferocious candy breathing dragon, and some mouthwatering taffy. Next we entered a room full of clocks, where a Candytopia guide provided a brief summary.
We traveled through a time machine to get to Candytopia, and of course sugary libations were waiting for us at the bar.
In the next room, we posed with Katy Perry and larger than life sweets. We also got a few punches to work off the sugar we’ve been consuming.
We walked through a laser tunnel to get to the next room, where iconic artworks and statues were reimagined in candy form.
Next, we went under the sea. Our friend, Eric took an amazing panoramic picture of us with his VR camera.
Only in Candytopia, can pigs fly and unicorns exist. Be warned, you will leave this room covered in confetti!
The next room has some great photo op, including a psychedelic wall, a Candytopia sky and a giant swing. You’ll even see an exhibit with the evolution of the gummy bear.
The last room features a gigantic marshmallow pool. Don’t worry they aren’t real, so dive in and remember to take a picture or boomerang.
The final stop is the Candy Store and Lounge. You can purchase candy at the store or drinks at the bar. We hope you enjoy Candytopia as much as we did. You can get your sugar rush until November 15th. Tickets need to purchased in advance and are for a specific date and time. They cost $34 for adults, $26 for kids 4-12 and free for children under 3.
