Are you ready for a psychedelic experience that combines combines bleeding-edge technological art with experiential theatre? If so, head over to ZeroSpace, where an inter-dimensional adventure awaits. I am excited to share this immersive experience with you.
ZeroSpace is a 25,000 square foot art installation that is conveniently located near Penn Station.
Upon entering the space, I was greeted by secret agents of a covert government agency and given instructions.
I walked through a reality altering wormhole and was propelled into another dimension with a dazzling display of immersive art.
On the other side of the portal is an immersive experience that combines sci-fi with Sleep No More. This is a self guided tour filled with bright light displays, hi-tech interactive stations, alien life forms and special agents. I walked into a room with an enchanting lace-like chandelier. The light fixture casts a soft patterned glow over the entire room.
This room feels like it’s moving when the lights change color. Make sure to spend a few minutes here because it was my favorite room.
ZeroSpace uses lasers and projection mapping technology to create images of fluid patterns, optical illusions and sparkling lights. Be prepared to be mesmerized as you walk through the space. We walked into a room, where we sat on cozy bean bag chairs and enjoyed technicolor of lights on the ceiling with a continuous flow of changing patterns.
Afterwards, we walked across a 1970s inspired pink and blue psychedelic hallway.
The psychedelic hallway ended in a mesmerizing intergalactic graphic display filled with light and wonder.
In giant sandbox room, adults can dig in and discover the changing colors of sand. We saw the sand change color as we dug in and played with the sand.
There’s a technicolor wheel of lights with a mesmerizing pattern of changing lights.
Don’t just enjoy the artistic displays, make sure to be hands-on and and spin the technicolor wheel.
Make sure to be on the lookout for alien life forms. They will be walking through the space, along with special agents.
On your way out, don’t forget to spend a few minutes at the photobooth. There are also two bars you can enjoy before or after the experience.
The the psychedelic photobooth, it was a perfect way to end this otherworldly immersive experience filled with light and wonder.
