Greece, I’ll definitely be baklava! Since we can’t go to Greece, dining at Nerai is the next best thing. This restaurant transports you from the bustling streets of NYC to the beautiful shores of Greece. Nerai is one of the best Midtown restaurants with outdoor dining. Trust us, you’ll be Greeking out over these views.
Best Midtown Restaurants with Outdoor Dining
Nerai is located in Midtown on E54th Street between Madison and Park Avenue. It’s open Monday through Thursday from 11:30AM to 9:30PM, Friday from 11:30AM – 10:00PM, Saturday from 4:00PM – 10:00PM and Sunday from 4:00PM – 9:00PM.

Why it’s Greece lightning! Nerai created a sophisticated outdoor garden with elegant royal blue umbrellas and beautiful trees adorned with twinkling lights.

What to Order to Drink?
We started with a round of cocktails, including the Persephone, Chios Mojito and Calypso. Our favorite was the Persephone. The mix of sparkling wine, St. Germain and pomegranate juice was a match made in Greek heaven. The Greek Gods would definitely agree!

We used a QR code to scan the menu. This haute Greek cuisine takes us right back to our 2017 summer trip to Santorini.

We recommend ordering the Chips Nerai, Tuna Tartare, Cretan Meatballs and the Grilled Octopus to start. Our favorite was the Chips Nerai. These perfectly fried Zucchini Chips tasted divine with the creamy tzatziki.
We paired our mains with the 2018 Assyrtiko, Gai’a “Thalassitis,” Greece, Santorini. During our summer 2017 trip to Greece, we sipped a variety of Greek wines at restaurants and Greek vineyards. We also hosted a Greek Easter, featuring a variety of Greek wines.

Our mains included the perfectly cooked Lamb Chops and the best Squid Ink Pasta we ever tasted.
For dessert, we shared the Saragli. This hand rolled balkava paired nicely with the tahini parfait and vanilla gelato.

Take another Greece of my heart. Nerai also has a Santorini Sundays pre-fix special for $48 and an Oyster Monday special of $1 East Coast Oysters all day long. We highly recommend outdoor dining at Nerai. The restaurant added heat lamps for outdoor dining. Indoor dining opens 9/30, so that’s also another option. You Odyssey this view!
