Summer on the Rosé Terrace at Perrine is in full swing. Perrine, located on the ground floor of The Pierre hotel on the Upper East Side, is hosting three fabulous Rosé events this summer. The first event was Fête de la Musique. Fête de la Musique or Worldwide Music Day originated in Paris in 1982 and is celebrated on June 21st. Today, the annual event attracts music lovers in over 500 cities around the world. We had a wonderful time at our first Fête de la Musique and are excited to share this Parisian-style street festival with you.
The first event we attended at Perrine was their Diwali party in October. The food was divine and we were excited when Melissa of Taj Hotels invited us to the second annual Fête de la Musique. Perrine transformed its Rosé Terrace into a little piece of Paris. Guests indulged on French bites prepared by Executive Chef Ashfer Biju and sipped on Côtes de Provence Rosé by Miraval and Grey Goose cocktails.
Musical acts included Koran Agan Trio, New Orleans-style Jazz band Crescent City Six and DJ house music.
The live music was fantastic.
Chef Ashfer and his culinary team created a delicious Parisian menu.
Guests dined on a raw bar with East Coast clams, oysters, shrimp and an artisanal sampler of specially-cured meats and pâtés, cheeses and homemade breads
Executive Pastry Chef Michael Mignano created several mini desserts including Key Lime Custard, Golden Apple Beignets, Panna Cotta, Molten Chocolate Cake and Madelines. We had to try them all!
The signature drinks were Miraval rosé and Grey Goose cocktails. The Miraval bar was decorated with two gorgeous bouquets of pink and white flowers and lots of Miraval rosé.
Miraval served Imperial sized bottles of wine, which served as excellent photobooth props. For those of you that don’t know, that’s 6 LITERS of wine per bottle (or two double magnums).
Perrine also had a photobooth with pink sunglasses and props. Our favorite props were the Imperial bottles of Miraval.
If you missed Fête de la Musique, we recommend checking out a Midsummer Night’s Soirée on Thursday July 26th and/or Smash Bash on Wednesday August 22nd.
