Ready, aim, zoom! Birthday parties are different this year. They are smaller, outdoors or online. We originally didn’t think we’d have a party this year. At the last minute, we decided to host an intimate Tiger King birthday party. Since many of our friends couldn’t make it in person, we also organized a Tiger King Zoom edition. We are excited to share our virtual birthday party with you.
Virtual Birthday Party Tablescape
Hey all you cool cats and kittens, just because this is a virtual birthday party, doesn’t mean that it can’t have a fabulous setup. We created our Tiger King inspired tablescape with hunter green leaf petal taffeta tablecloths, leopard satin table runners and leopard satin napkins from CV Linens. CV Linens has a variety of gorgeous linens and you can use the code TWINS10 for a 10% discount off your purchase (excluding polyester chair covers).

We created a balloon garland with colorful solid and animal print balloons. We initially made this for our in person party. Some balloons popped and others deflated, but we twisted the balloon tape around and were able repurpose the balloons into a smaller garland. With our Cricut Maker and Cricut Joy, we made Twin Exotic water bottle labels and wine decals and popcorn boxes. We also created a cheese board to pair with our wine and baked cupcakes.

Virtual Birthday Party Wine
We toasted with Piper Heidsieck Rosé Champagne. This bold, full bodied sparkling wine gets its deep ruby color from Pinot Noir. It’s also made from Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay and has notes of black cherry, blackberry and blood orange. We also sipped on Robert Sinskey’s Abraxus. This white wine is one of our summer favorites. It’s a blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer with notes of citrus, pear and green apple.

Guest List
Our in person guests included the Melissa and Doug lion and giraffe.

These stuffed animals first made an appearance at Dylan’s Safari 1st birthday party almost 8 years ago.

Virtual Guests
We chatted with our friends over Zoom. Friends dialed in over the course of two hours. It was a great way to stay connected and catch up.

It’s a zoo here. Special thanks to all of our friends for joining Twin Exotic in person or the Zoom edition. Remember to stay safe and celebrate in style.

I can assure you’re going to get closer to tigers and lions here than you would anywhere in the world

I love how extra the set up is for a virtual party. It makes it feel more like a legit one.
Such a fun idea and a great way to stay together while social distancing.
Such a fun idea indeed! My birthday is coming, I’m gonna try this virtual birthday thang!
What a fun idea! Luckily, we are now allowed to have smaller parties, but this is a great idea if you’re in the vulnerable category!
oh wow this idea of virtual celebrations sounds so amazing and lovely one indeed…glad you shared this with us..great work though…
I never considered hosting a Zoom birthday party, but I wish I had thought of it! I ended up just having dinner with my parents for my birthday last week.
Social distancing for the win! You really can enjoy something without breaking laws.
What a cute and fun idea for a birthday party! All of these decorations are so cute and so perfect! I can’t wait till this pandemic is over and we can go back to having normal parties.

I can’t wait until we can start socializing in person again. But for now this is a great substitute! I love the whole look of this party!
This sounds like such a fun idea for these times!
A virtual birthday party sounds like it’d be a great idea if you want to get together with family and friends while still being safe during this time.
What a great idea! I love how you incorporated the stuffed animals! Very cute!
I am still in awe with this party. I think you alll planned this so well!
Zoom is the way to go now as many of the places are still having restrictions. We could only party up to 5 people and not more than that.
I never thought to do a virtual party! I’ll keep this in mind for when my 7 year old has his 8th birthday in october.
I never thought about organizing a virtual birthday party through zoom. I guess it works if all the invitees get into their roles.
Wow, this is such an amazing virtual birthday party set up ? So elaborate and exquisite! That lion and giraffe are so cute ?
Love the animal-themed decor. Great idea for a virtual b-day.
