Have you read Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion yet? This book has helped us keep our wellness goals on track.
What is Our Progress with Always Eat After 7PM?
Last month, we began incorporating this program into our daily routine. We began intermittent fasting during week two and three. It worked well for us because we aren’t hungry in the morning and prefer to eat home cooked protein rich dinners in the evening.
We began every morning with lemon water to cleanse our body.
What Did We Eat on Always Eat After 7PM?
Next we kicked off our first meal with a smoothie with protein powder. Joel’s banana, chocolate peanut butter and strawberry smoothies are quite delicious. The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. With the the Always Eat After 7PM program, we have the willpower to stay on the diet. This also puts us into both intermittent fasting, increasing our metabolism, while putting us into ketosis.
According to Joel, “Scientists have established that consuming at least 20 grams of protein stimulates muscle protein synthesis for two to five hours after eating a meal. However, recent research also shows that protein synthesis drops to unexpectedly low levels during sleep, even if you eat ample protein during and after evening exercise. This has led researchers to speculate that this process may fall off during sleep if you don’t eat protein prior to bedtime.”
