Best Valentine’s Day Party Ideas: Select a Theme
You color my world! Because of Covid-19, we are still keeping our holiday celebrations small at home. Every party needs a theme. Whether you want to go classic with red or pink decorations, or try something more festive like hearts and cupids, having a theme will help you plan the rest of the party. A theme helps inspire the color palette, food, decorations, drinks and attire. A theme can be as simple as a color palette. Our Valentine’s Day party featured a pink, red and white color palette.

Best Valentine’s Day Party Ideas: Create a Gorgeous Tablescape
Our stylish Valentine’s Day tablescape featured shades of pink, rose gold, red and white. The place settings included with . We also added chocolate hearts as party favors.

I love you once and flor-al! We placed two bouquets of pink roses on the table and two chunky red tealight holders.

Best Valentine’s Day Party Ideas: What Wine to Serve?
Happy Winentine’s Day. When it comes to drinks, there are plenty of options for a Valentine’s Day party. You can serve a pink or red cocktail (last year we made pink grapefruit vodka cocktails). You can mix cranberry juice with vodka for a pretty pink drink, or go classic with champagne cocktails. This year we kept it easy and served sparkling and still rosé. Make sure to serve the champs in champagne flutes.

Love the wine you’re with. We started with Sparkling Pointe and finished with Marcel.

Best Valentine’s Day Party Ideas: How to Create a Heart Balloon Backdrop?
You stole my heart. Three dimensional backdrops are an easy way to transform a space for a Valentine’s Day party. We created our Valentine’s Day themed photobooth with a lots of balloons. Guests took fun Valentine’s Day themed photos all night long. This photobooth is a great way to capture memories. We used blush, hot pink, rose gold and silver heart balloons and pink latex balloons to create our Valentine’s Day backdrop. We recommend using a balloon pump and glue dots.

I love you so much I could burst. Instaballoons has a large selection of heart shaped balloons, so you can get creative with your color palette for Valentine’s Day. Last year, we used painter’s tape to hang up the balloons, but we don’t recommend that. The balloons kept falling during the middle of our photoshoot. Instead use glue dots or Command Hooks. One hook or 5 glue dots per balloon. You can also use a large heart balloon to frame your subject for an artistic shot. Use the code twinspirational to save 10% off your order at Instaballoons.

Best Valentine’s Day Party Ideas: What Foods to Serve?
I’m a sucker for you! We created a gorgeous candy charcuterie board with candy, cheese, crackers, bread, cookies, grapes and dried fruit. Have fun with the cheeseboard and make sure to add lots of red and pink foods as well as heart shaped foods. A few heart cookie cutters will be helpful. The full recipe is at the bottom of the post.

Rose to the occasion. Our friend Athena made a second charcuterie platter. We shaped the salami into a rose. This is way easier than it looks. Just place the salami around the rim of a wine glass and repeat. When you are done, place the wine glass upside down on the cheese board. You can’t make any adjustments without messing up the rose. If the salami is misaligned, you’ll need to redo it. We also added heart cookies, strawberries and M&M’s.

Best Valentine’s Day Party Ideas: What Music to Play?
Set the mood with Valentine’s Day music. A little background noise can really add to the atmosphere. Put on your favorite love songs or some easy listening classics to get everyone in the mood. We played a few Amazon Music Valentine’s Day playlists (Pop for Valentine’s Day and Rock for Valentine’s Day). You can find similar curated holiday playlists on Pandora, Apple Music and Spotify.
