Deer Valley is a ski resort with a food scene that is as lofty as its peaks. Snow bunnies don’t have to leave the majestic ski slopes to enjoy a fabulous meal. Deer Valley operates three rustic ski lodges that are perfect for breakfast or lunch on the mountain. In the evening, these lodges are transformed into fine dining establishments. We are excited to share our Deer Valley dining experience with you.
LUNCH ON THE SLOPES
SNOW PARK LODGE is located inside Deer Valley Plaza at the base of Bald Eagle mountain. Lunch service begins at 11am and concludes at 2:30pm. Diners can enjoy a large selection of buffet items including the salad bar, the grill, the carving station, the pasta bar, the gourmet pizza station, the specialty soup and chili station and the children’s station. You can finish your meal with a little treat from Deer Valley Bakery. We highly recommend the turkey burger and the Deer Valley chili. Afternoon snacks and beverages are available until 4:30 p.m.
SILVER LAKE RESTAURANT is located mid-mountain. Lunch service starts at 11am and ends at 2:30pm. Diners can select items from the salad bar, the Taqueria, the grill, the soup and stew station, the daily pot pie and mac & cheese station, the gourmet pizza station or the children’s station. You can conclude your meal with a Deer Valley Bakery dessert. We highly recommend the turkey sandwich, the tacos and the turkey burger. Afternoon snacks and beverages are available until 4:30 p.m.
EMPIRE CANYON GRILL is located upper mountain and offers beautiful views of the Daly Bowl and Chutes. Lunch is served from 11am to 2:30pm. Empire’s buffet selection includes the salad bar, the grill, the panini station, the pasta bar, the specialty soup and chili station and the children’s station. You can end your meal with dessert from Deer Valley Bakery. We highly recommend the turkey sandwich and turkey burger. You can grab afternoon snacks and beverages until 4:30 p.m.
DINNER AT THE DEER VALLEY LODGES
The lodges are transformed into fine dining establishments in the evening.
THE BRASS TAG is the newest restaurant that is located in The Lodges in the Lower Deer Valley loop. The Brass Tag serves comfort food all year round. The restaurant’s stylish decor pays homage to Park City’s mining roots. We recommend the guacamole and the lamb burger. The restaurant is one of the more kid friendly dining options in Deer Valley.
THE SEAFOOD BUFFET is located in Snow Park Lodge. In the evening, Snow Park is transformed into a Mecca for seafood lovers. Seafood Buffet serves an array of fresh seafood including poke, chilled shellfish, hot seafood appetizers and entrées, carvery specials, vegetable specialties and prime rib. The pre-fix menu costs $75 for adults, $30 for children 6-11 and complimentary for children under 5. We recommend the fresh East Coast oysters, lobster risotto and sea bass. We finished our meal with a chocolate snowball, pomegranate gelee and crème brûlée.
MARIPOSA offers a spectacular fine dining experience mid-mountain in Silver Lake Village. We highly recommend the avocado toast and cheese to start and the lamb chops and steak for entrees. The food is almost too pretty to eat.
FIRESIDE offers a one of a kind experience by cooking a four-course meal from the stone fireplaces located around the restaurant. We started with a charcuterie platter and raclette, followed by lamb, trout and pasta. We concluded our scrumptious meal with chocolate fondue. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are available before dinner.
Deer Valley Grocery Café
Deer Valley Grocery Cafe is a small restaurant and specialty grocery store located at the base of Bald Mountain. We highly recommend the cafe when you want to grab a quick meal at the restaurant or carry takeout back to your hotel room. You can also expect rotating specials, live musical acts and scenic views.
2018/2019 ski season is off to a great start. Check out these dining gems during your next trip to Deer Valley. This resort town with an impeccable dining scene certainly won’t leave you hungry!
