The pastabilities are endless. This week, we transport you to Giorgio’s of Gramercy. We’ve been coming to this Italian restaurant for over a decade. Trust us, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. The food, ambiance and service are excellent. We are excited to share our outdoor dining experience at Giorgio’s of Gramercy with you.
The Best Italian Restaurants in NYC
Giorgio’s is conveniently located in Flatiron, near Gramercy. This rustic alfresco cafe is decorated with tented canopies with lush green foliage and twinkling lights. The restaurant installed dividers between seating areas to comply with social distancing rules.
What to Order for Drinks and Appetizers?
Let’s un-wined. We started with red and white sangria and a crisp Rosé. Always remember when there’s a wine, there’s a way!
We paired our sangria with shrimp cocktail and oysters. The shrimp was poached and the oysters were roasted to perfection. It’s shrimply the best.
What to Order for Dinner?
Next up was the pasta course. Grab a knife because it’s time to cut some carbs. We shared the Squid Ink Linguine Scampi with buttery lobster and shrimp and the creamy honey-nut squash stuffed Agnolotti with creamy truffle. We recommend both dishes, but our favorite was the Agnolotti. This dish is so good, it’s pre-pasta-rous.
We paired our mains with half bottles of the 2010 La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserva and the Domaine Vincent Pinard Sancerre Vendanges Entieres. These half bottles are perfect for shared entrees. You can sip the Sancerre with the fish and then move to the Rioja with the lamb.
Our mains were Mint-Pistachio Crusted Rack of Lamb, Sea Scallops with Cauliflower fondue and Wild King Salmon. They were all perfectly cooked, but we’d recommend the lamb. Lamb is our favorite meat and lamb chops are our favorite cut of lamb.
The sea food paired nicely with the Sancerre, while the lamb chops were perfect match for the Rioja.
What to Order for Dessert?
A meal isn’t complete without a bite or two of sweetness. We ordered the s’more bread pudding, tiramisu and tres leches. We always order the s’more bread pudding when we go to Giorgio’s. Today our favorite dessert was the tres leches. It’s a three layer cake made with whole milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk and heavy cream. Calories don’t count on the weekends, right?
Penne for your thoughts? Next time you are in Flatiron and in the mood for some scrumptious Italian food, check out Giorgio’s. It’s perfect for date night or a girls dinner. They also have an incredible catering menu, so consider ordering for a family meal or corporate dinner. We hosted many events with their catering menu (make sure to order the Chilean Sea Bass!)
The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later you’re hungry again.

Oh yum, I absolutely LOVE Italian food, this place looks AMAZING.
I like anything shrimps. So, definitely I love that shrimp cocktail.
The place looks really mesmerizing plus the food is so overwhelming, looks really delicious and tasty from the appetizer to the dessert.
Now I want some really creamy carbonara and then some pesto.
This is a beautiful place to share with a friend or family. So many things to really celebrate your taste buds!
