Eat, drink and be Rosemary. Last week, we dined at Rosemary’s. This Italian gem has a beautiful sidewalk cafe that is open for dinner and weekend brunch. It’s the perfect spot for outdoor dining in Greenwich Village. We are excited to share this pasta-tively amazing meal with you.
Outdoor Dining in Greenwich Village
Rosemary’s is located in Greenwich Village on 10th Street and Greenwich. Rosemary’s is part of Casa Nela, a New York City hospitality company founded by Carlos Suarez. The restaurant is open for dinner daily from 4PM to 10PM. Brunch is available from 10AM to 4PM on the weekends. Just think about the pastabilities at Rosemary’s.
Rosemary’s Cafe is adorned with lovely green umbrellas and a tented section with beautiful green and tan plants. It has a rustic chic vibe.
What to Order to Drink?
We started with a round of Aperitivi including: Rosemary’s Spritz, Lemon Fizz and Roman Chariot. Our favorite was the Rosemary’s Spritz. This cocktail has sparkling wine, bitters and a taste of orange and lemon. It was the perfect way to kick off our meal.
What to Order for Dinner?
Since we are at Rosemary’s, we had to get the Rosemary’s Focaccia. The bread was moist and you knead to start your meal off with it. We also ordered the Eggplant Caponata, Heirloom Tomatoes and Watermelon Salad. Our favorite Verdure was the Eggplant Caponata with roasted vegetables and pine nuts. The tomatoes and watermelon were also quite refreshing.
For dinner, we shared the the Bibb Lettuce and Avocado salad, the Fusilli and the Roast Chicken. They were a great meal to share, but our favorite was the Fusilli. This pasta was topped with creamy burrata and we added some crushed red pepper to add some heat.
We prefer our reds to be fruiter and lighter, so we went with the Sangiovese, while our friend, Nancy, went with the Nebbiolo.
For dessert, we shared the Bombolini (Italian donuts) and the Olive Oil Cake. The olive oil cake was moist and paired nicely with the blueberry compote.
Our favorite Dolce was the donuts. They were fried, coasted in sugar and filled with Nutella cream. Look at how fast we ate them.
This year, dine at Rosemary’s and spaghett about it. Rosemary’s is also a Founding Member of Safe Eats, a restaurant association created to provide both restaurants and their guests with clarity about staying safe when dining out. So head over to Rosemary’s for some of the best outdoor dining in Greenwich Village. Trust us, you’ll love their Italian food. You can also check out our Outdoor Dining section for more tips.
