Last month, we twinspired Hellisoy’s happy hour at Birreria, Eataly’s Rooftop Beer Garden. Hellisoy, founded by our friend, Eric Amat, distills Habanero Vodka and Botanical Vodka. The happy hour featured three specialty habanero cocktails. We are excited to share the details with you.
Hellisoy is named after the Hellisoy lighthouse in Norway. Eric’s great grandfather, Bjarne was a Norwegian farmer and fisherman before moving his family to the U.S in 1923. Hellisoy’s logo is inspired by the second oldest cast iron lighthouse in Norway. Hellisoy’s Habanero Vodka was released in 2016 and was originally made with orange habanero peppers grown in his parents’ garden. Eric added a Botanical line of vodka in 2017.

Eric hosted the happy hour at Eataly in Flatiron. Eataly is owned by Mario Batali, Lidia Bastianich and Joe Bastianich. The space is over 50,000 square feet and features 6 restaurants and a gourmet grocery store. Currently, you can grab a Hellisoy cocktail at the Birreria rooftop and Manzo.
We suggested a simple nautical theme for this event. It was quite easy for us to put together because we hosted a TWIN SAIL-A-BRATION for our 34th birthday. Hellisoy’s logo inspired the red, white and blue color palette. We decorated our table with candles, nautical props and sea shells.
The happy hour featured three specialty cocktails with the habanero vodka: Hellisoy Raging Mule, Hellisoy Northern Lights and Cool as a Cucumber. If you missed the event, you can find Hellisoy cocktails at Eataly, GATO, Drexler’s and Wallsé or purchase a bottle at East Village Wine & Liquor in New York City.
