What time is it? It’s snow-time!” Happy New Year everyone. We spent Christmas out on the slopes at Deer Valley, followed by lots of après-ski! If you can’t make it out to the mountain, you can skip the skiing and head straight to après-ski at the Lodge at Gallow Green. Gallow Green is located atop the McKittrick Hotel in Chelsea and the rooftop is transformed into a cozy chalet in the winter.
The McKittrick Hotel is infamous for its one-of-a-kind experiences including Sleep No More, live concerts, music festivals, and chic masquerade soirées for Mayfair, Halloween and New Year’s Eve. The Lodge at Gallow Green is also quite an immersive experience. Forget about hibernating at home during NYC winters and discover this rustic indoor-outdoor ski cabin. Gallow Green is perched atop a Chelsea rooftop, where you can escape the bustling sirens of NYC city streets. You’ll be escorted by a silent elevator to a dark train station. From there, you’ll walk up the stairs to The Lodge.
Make your reservation at The Lodge by purchasing brunch tickets. The brunch pre-fix comes with an entrée, a basket of pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee or tea and dessert. Sides and cocktails are available for purchase to complement the meal. Tickets include tax and gratuity and cost $50. The bread basket features freshly baked croissants and pastries. Who wouldn’t want to start the day with little frost-tea?
We started our cozy mountainside meal with sparkling cocktails. A Bellini and 27th St. Spritz were the perfect way to après ski in The Lodge.
We ordered the Eggs Florentine with spinach, Bechamel, poached eggs on an English muffin and served with roasted potatoes. The dish was creamy, decadent and delicious.
Chicken and Waffles is the perfect combination of salty and sweet. The chicken was fried to perfection and the waffles were moist and delicious. We skipped the gravy and drizzled maple syrup on our Chicken and Waffles.
We concluded our meal with mango, lemon and raspberry sorbet and Chocolate Budino. The Chocolate Budino was rich and decadent and the pirouette cookies added the perfect crunch. The sorbet was delicate and sweet, and we liked the variety of flavors.
There’s also a blazing firepit outside that will keep you warm, while you enjoy the greenery.
Don’t forget to hop on the swing before you leave too.
This winter, explore this cozy mountainside escape and enjoy the fabulous brunch and ambiance of the Lodge at Gallow Green. The Lodge at Gallow Green is open for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm. Make your reservations and head over to The Lodge. Trust us, you’ll après-ciate the recommendation and alpine for it when it’s gone.
The cold never bothered me anyway.

Chicken and Waffles are my favorite! I’m just like you, cold doesn’t bother me. Rather have that than summer.
The food looks so amazing at gallow green! Your pictures make it very appetizing for sure. I would like to try the Bellini as well. I love how they have a firepit, makes it feel like a cozy place!
The eggs florentine looks divine, I love to try different kinds of eggs now!
This seems the ideal way to catch up with friends or family and get cozy. The food looks yum.
What an adorable little lodge! How did you get those great overhead photos though? Were you hanging from the ceiling? LOL!
