We are excited to share the best outdoor dining in Greenwich Village with you.
Best Outdoor Dining in Greenwich Village
Claudette is located in Greenwich Village on 10th Street and 5th Ave. Claudette is part of Casa Nela, a New York City hospitality company founded by Carlos Suarez. We visited its sister restaurant, Rosemary’s, last month. Claudette is open for dinner from 4PM to 10PM on weekdays and 5PM to 10PM on weekends. Brunch is available from 10AM to 4PM on the weekends.
The Claudette Cafe has a tented section with adorable blue and white gingham tablecloths. If you are walking down 5th Avenue, you just want to sit down for brunch or an early dinner at this Sidewalk Cafe.
Best Outdoor Dining in Greenwich Village: What to Order to Drink?
We started with a round of cocktails including: Rosé Spritz, Moroccan Margarita and Scarlet Tea. Our favorite was the Scarlet Tea. This cocktail brilliantly blends strawberry, vodka and hibiscus flavors. This round of drinks was the perfect way to toast our dinner.
Best Outdoor Dining in Greenwich Village: What to Order for Dinner?
We recommend starting with Fruit de Mer. We ordered a dozen East Coast Oysters. They varied in shape and size, and were all delicious.
The world is your oyster! We paired the oysters with a refreshing Sancerre.
Thinking of ewe. We also ordered the Truffle Hummus, Lamb Kefta Skewer, Burrata. Our favorite was the flavorful, meaty Lamb Kefta.
Our mains were the Lamb Tagine, Branzino and Shishito Peppers. We highly recommend the Lamb with a glass of Côtes du Rhône.
We finished up our meal with a rich, decadent Chocolate Pot de Crème, creamy Fromage Blanc Custard and warm, freshly baked Bombolini (Italian donuts). If you only have room for one dessert, then we recommend the doughnuts.
This year, dine at Claudette for a unique French Moroccan dining experience. Likes Rosemary’s, Claudette is also a Founding Member of Safe Eats, a restaurant association created to provide both restaurants and their guests with clarity about staying safe when dining out. So head over to Claudette for some of the best outdoor dining in Greenwich Village. You can also check out our Outdoor Dining section for more recommendations.
I love New York because within its borders you can travel the world.
