This week, we transport you to Cleo in the Mondrian on Park Avenue for a one of a kind Mediterranean dining experience. This restaurant in the Nomad neighborhood features a blend of European, North African and Middle Eastern cultures. We are excited to share our dinner with you.
Cleo offers indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor decor features an assortment of eye-catching artwork, including hand-painted tiles by acclaimed artist Sergio Mora. We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and dined outside.
We ordered as assortment of appetizers and entrees to share.
We began our meal with a bottle of a Provence style Rosé.
For appetizers, we shared the slow roasted Lamb Shawarmas with grilled laffa, labneh and caramelized onion and the Grilled Spanish Octopus with black garlic, labneh, fingerling chips, salsa roja and cilantro. Both appetizers were delicious, but our favorite was the lamb.
We also shared multiple entrees, including the jumbo Garlic Shrimp with white wine, preserved lemon, bean purée. We also loved the Branzino with cauliflower couscous, vadouvan, currant agro dolce, labneh and pine nuts. We also ordered the creamy Saffron Ravioli with ricotta, tomato confit and sweet corn brodo. The food pairly perfect with our wine.
We concluded our meal with a meal with a decadent chocolate molten cake with ice cream. This dessert was the perfect way to finish our meal.
Cheers everyone and head on over to Cleo in Nomad for a wonderful Mediterranean dinner.
