The world looks better through rosé colored glasses. NYC is back and stronger than ever and just in time for Summer rooftop season. Bodvár invited us to the Elsie Rooftop for a spectacular National Rosé Day party in NYC. Swedish house Bodvár created the holiday to commemorate this pink summer wine. We are excited to share Bodvár‘s National Rosé Day party in NYC with you.
What is National Rosé Day?
National Rosé Day is held on the second Saturday of June. Bodvár originally created National Rosé Day on June 13, 2015 in the Hamptons. Last year, we celebrated National Rosé Day with a fabulous Bodvár Rosé wine tasting at home with our father. Virtual parties were fun last year, but now that we are fully vaccinated and NYC is open, we are ready for more in person festivities. In the past, we also roséd all day at Eataly and the Mondrian Terrace. On this special day, when I sip, you sip, we sip.
What is Rosé?
50 shades of Rosé. Rosé is not just a pink wine. Rosé varies in color from a pale pink to deeply vibrant shades of pink depending on the type of grape used. Rosé is available in still and sparkling and ranges in sweetness or dryness.
Rosé is available in Provence, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, White Zinfandel, White Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Montepulciano D’Abruzzo and Tavel.
What is Bodvár Rosé?
I’m in a Rosé state of mind. Bodvár is a Provence style Rosé. This style is our favorite type of pink wine. This Rosé is fruity and light with notes of strawberry and rose petal.
We also had a chance to meet Rhonda Virgin and Lina Axmacher from the Bodvár team.
National Rosé Day Party in NYC at Elsie Rooftop
The Elsie Rooftop is a gorgeous space in midtown NYC on 39th and Broadway, near Bryant Park and Times Square. We sat outside on their patio and sipped on Bodvár N°5 throughout the day.
N°5 is a pale Rosé with rose petal nuances, aromas of citrus and white flowers and made with Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle.
Bodvár also served beautiful Rosé cocktails, which were perfect on a hot day.
National Rosé Day Party in NYC: The Small Bites
Bodvár served a variety of hors d’oeuvres, which included crab cakes, salmon and tomato, mozzarella bites. The dishes paired nicely with the Bodvár Rosé.
National Rosé Day Party in NYC: The Dessert
Bodvár created a blushing pink dessert bar. The star of the dessert bar was the pink macaron tower from Ladurée. These delicate French cookies paired perfectly with the Bodvár Rosé. We tried to make macarons from scratch for Mother’s Day once. They tasted great, but looked nothing like the perfect ones pictured below.
National Rosé Day Party in NYC: The Decorations
If you’ve followed us for a while, you’d know that we love gorgeous backdrops. Backdrops are a great way to add incorporate a theme into a party. Bodvár created a gorgeous pink floral wall, which was the perfect spot to stop and smell the Rosé.
Bodvár also setup a swing, which was another great photo opportunity. They draped vines with pink flowers around the swing.
At the end of the night, Bodvár moved the swing in front of the pink floral wall for an even better backdrop. We couldn’t think of a more fun day. This is the best National Rosé Day Party in NYC.
We had a fantastic time at celebrating National Rosé Day Party in NYC with Bodvár.
