Are you trying to get the kids off their devices? If they love Star Wars, we have a fun and easy craft idea with Cricut Joy and Chasing Fireflies. The kids played dress up, while they made their own custom Star Wars glasses. We are excited to share these Star Wars crafts with you.
Chasing Fireflies Costumes
Dylan and Keira are avid Star Wars fans. They saw every Star Wars movie and are currently watching The Mandalorian. Dylan dressed up as Chasing Fireflies‘ Kylo Ren and Keira dressed up as Chasing Fireflies Stroomtrooper. We even did a Star Wars birthday photobooth for Dylan last year.
Star Wars Crafts
Our Kylo Ren and Stroomtrooper wanted to make namesake glasses with Cricut Joy. We found Kylo Ren and Stroomtrooper images in Cricut Design Space. Make sure to resize the images to fit your glasses.
For this project, you’ll need
This is a great kids project because there’s no swapping of the blades and no layering. The Cricut Joy will cut out the decal and then you will need to reverse weed. This means remove the negative space of vinyl.
Then we used transfer tape to apply the decals to the glasses. The glasses matched their masks perfectly.
Next it was time for Dylan and Keira’s mocktails. They love sparkling water with a splash of apple juice. We recommend hand washing the glasses.
This winter, let your kids unleash their imagination with some fantastic costumes and crafts with Cricut Joy. We have more ways to play dress up and keep the kids busy with Chasing Fireflies. Cheers, “may the force be with you.”
