It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood! We’ve been in Montclair, NJ for a lot longer than expected. However, we are starting to spend more time in the city. Outdoor dining in NYC is a perfect way to catch up with friends, while adhering to social distancing guidelines. This week, we transport you Woodpecker, Chef David’s Burke’s casual pizza bar and grill. We are excited to share our brunch at Woodpecker with you.
NYC Outdoor Dining
Woodpecker is conveniently located on 30th Street and Broadway in the heart of NoMad. This restaurant features custom wood-burning ovens and everything is made from wood, except for the ceiling and TVs. The restaurant serves “New American” cuisine with some Southern Italian and Mediterranean influences.
Woodpecker’s outdoor patio is tented and the perfect spot for a causal brunch.
We started with a round of brunch drinks: soda with lime, a glass of Rosé and a mojito. It was the perfect way to kick off our brunch.

We sipped our drinks with Tuna Crudo with shaved vegetables and creamy avocado. We highly recommending starting your meal with this fresh, delicious appetizer. It was almost too beautiful to eat.
After our shared app, we feasted on Chicken and Waffles, Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine. Our favorite was the Eggs Benedict. These perfectly poached eggs with crispy potatoes were divine.
This year, check out Woodpecker as well as NYC restaurants with outdoor dining. It’s a wonderful way to support small business and catch up with friends. There’s nothing quite like living or visiting NYC.
I love food, and I’m a foodie; I try to hit as many restaurants as I can.
