Summer nights and city lights. Coronavirus has transformed the NYC restaurant scene. Restaurants got creative and designed gorgeous outdoor dining spaces. Eataly has been doing this for years. Their rooftop restaurant, SERRA by Birreria changes its decor and menu every season. If you are looking for beautiful outdoor dining in NYC, check out Eataly’s SERRA Fiorita.
SERRA rotates between SERRA Fiorita (Spring/Summer), SERRA d’Autunno (Fall) and SERRA Alpino (Winter). Last year, SERRA Fiorita had a cherry blossom vibe.
This year, gorgeous paper flowers in vibrant summer colors and twinkling lights adorned the restaurant. Serra is open Monday to Thursday from 5PM to 9:30PM and Friday-Sunday from 11:30AM to 9:30PM.
Beautiful Outdoor Dining in NYC: What to Drink
SERRA has an robust collection of Italian wine. We started with a refreshing white Italian wine. You can also purchase wine to go at Eataly Vino.
We recommend a glass of Frosé. This cocktail is light, refreshing and the perfect summer drink.
What to Order: Antipasti and Fritto
We started with the Fior Fioreâ, which includes seasonal raw vegetables. We loved the whimsical presentation.
Our appetizers included: Burrata and Arancini Balls. The dishes paired nicely with the white wine. The Burrata was creamy with sweet corn and truffles. The Arancini Balls were perfectly fried.
What to Order: Piatti
We shared the Melanzane Grigliate and the Cotoletta di Pollo. The eggplant was grilled and the chicken was cooked to perfection.
What to Order: Housemade Dolci
We shared the Chocolate and Hazelnut Gelato for dessert. It was rich and creamy and a great way to complete our meal.
Beautiful Outdoor Dining in NYC: Photobooth
SERRA has a fantastic seasonal photobooth. This year, they created a swing. You will be able to snap some perfect photos and boomerangs.
New York is always a good idea. Whether you are local or just visiting, check out the beautiful outdoor dining in NYC. Serra Fiorita is around for a few more weeks. Stop by this floral haven before it transforms into SERRA d’Autunno.
The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later you’re hungry again

What lovely photos! This post has my mouth WATERING … Looks absolutely divine! I have such a soft spot for Italian food, I literally can’t get enough of it. I love that last remark and 1000% agree haha after an Italian dinner, you’ll definitely be full up for 5 or 6 days haha. Thanks for the share!

Oooh the food presentation is wonderful, looks like an awesome place to eat!
We have an Eataly in Toronto and I’m so obsessed with it! It’s one of my favourite places.
I lived on the east coast most of my life and until now have gone to NYC yearly. I will need to put this on my visit list for the next time I am there! Probably won’t be for a while due to their riots and Covid issues though! Great pictures too!
the place looks lovely and I love seeing it outdoor. I would totally like it if I was there
This looks like such a fun place to visit and enjoy a meal. The food presentation is so pretty! Thanks for sharing!
It looks so beautiful there! I haven’t eaten out in a real restaurant since like January! ha
We love eataly. There was a prime rib sandwich in the Chicago branch. I wonder if they have it in NYC too.

Of all of your reviews, I think this one may be my favorite! I love that because they have already been doing it for so long they didn’t miss a beat in excellent atmosphere and food in the current day’s circumstances.
